I just recertified on Sunday.
Let me just say, I've been coming here ever since I got my first medical card years ago. Back then there weren't so many other choices for medical weed certifications. That is before Covid anyway. I used to love it.
Might I state that CannaCare is the most expensive certification organization out there.
Everywhere is cheaper than this place, EVERYWHERE. But it was worth it for the treatment received in return.
Last year I couldn't afford CannaCare's fee. I tried a different, cheaper certification company, half the price, it was over the phone and it was a crappy experience. And being as my prior experiences at CannaCare had been that much better, I told myself never again will I not use them in future years, and that it's worth paying the expensive fee. Because you did get what you paid for here. This year being the exception. I loved going in and speaking with somebody face to face. I'm old fashioned that way.
Then Covid hit, everything went online or over the phone. But even during Covid, the zoom meetings with them were always quite pleasant and informative.
I'd hoped to have an in person appointment this year but wasn't even an option. All the appointments were phone calls only. So right there I was disappointed.
I got a call 15mins before my appointment from a nurse, took down some basic information, and processed my payment. Asked me my main reason for my need for medical marijuana. It was literally a 2 minute phone call. (Similar to a medical assistant checking your vital signs at appts before the doctor comes in.)
And that's all she wrote!
I patiently awaited a call from an alternate med provider to follow, that never came.
I go online Massachusetts Cannabis Commission to check the status of my medical card recertification, and it's there, registration ready to be processed.
Are you freaking kidding me What happened to this place?
I paid $150 for a 2min phone call. It didn't even consist of an actual conversation. She asked me, no, more like she rushed through only a handful of questions, and of course processed my payment. So that took up half the phone call. The payment process.
This was absolutely nothing like any of my past annual visits, even the ones during Covid. What happened to them? This was the worst, most insubstantial experience I've had with CannaCare in many many years. I honestly feel screwed. Like it was a scam. I feel like I was scammed.
The most expensive medical marijuana certificatation out there and all I received was a 2min phone call. No questions, or concerns I might've had. Didn't even ask me if I had any questions. Which I do have many. I have many new symptoms I'm suffering from and need help with strains to combat them. The reason I had expected another call from a provider was because that initial call with the nurse was void of all substance. Which is why I paid such a high fee, for substance. Cheaper places charging half the price have more substance than this. It's unacceptable.
I am a recovering addict and this felt more like a drug deal. Like a behind the scenes type of deal. You go on the website to find a completely different llc and saying that payment will show up under another llc. Like this whole experience felt like a con. I'm going to put in a complaint with the BBB cause it's unacceptable.
Sorry, I'm a broke single mother, I live in housing, where my medical card is a requirement in keeping the state off my back. It's a necessity for me. I paid the most for the most knowledgeable and resourceful. And I feel totally taken advantage of. I CANNOT AFFORD TO BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.
Paid $150, and what I got was nowhere near resourceful or knowledgeable, or even time consuming for that matter.
Must be great making $150 off of idiots like me every 2mins, eh?

Easy to schedule. I found this year when renewing that they changed their prices to $150 for both initial and renewing. No hardship discounts, no veterans discount nothing. Lady that called to schedule my renew appointment seemed like i hope was just a bad day. I emailed and canceled my appointment because there are tons of other offices and practitioners that charge $75-110. They then asked me to send them a screenshot of what I paid. How about no I am not doing your job. You lost a customer. I paid $75 for my renew with a small local office instead of a big money making office.

Awful service just terrible! They “tried” to renew my card and their system shut down. I was locked out of the system completely and was unable to get my medication for a week! Also remember your card is valid for 1yr!!!!! Make sure to notice how they contact you threatening that you need to see your caregiver or your medical card will expire. It’s not every 6 months!!!! Definitely would not recommend them to anyone

These people call, text and email a thousand reminders before your appointment at all hours of the day. Zero respect.

They refuse to up my limit even though I’ve been told by many people who use other companies they can for non terminal related illnesses, they still refuse. I’ve been with them for 7 years use concentrates and my tolerance has gone up and they are ok with me going on the street instead, that’s not a good Dr. I will not be ever returning back and I don’t think anyone else should all they care about is their payment and barely even speak or care for you.

Stay clear there are so many more places to get your medical card from go there.

I had a great experience at Canna Care Docs in Burlington. I had read all the reviews online before I went, and found them to be absolutely inaccurate. The staff was so caring, and I moved around the process quickly. Don't hesitate to visit them.
