I have been going to the Wound Care Center on and off for over ten years due to a reoccurring pressure sore after recovering from a spinal cord injury 40 years ago. I have the greatest respect for, and confidence in Doctor Flynn, and his staff.

I will admit that I wasn't quite sure what to make of Doctor Flynn initially. However I soon realized that his reserved demeanor, wasn't a lack of caring, but the total opposite.

At my worst, it took almost two years to heal an extra stubborn and serious wound. Doctor Flynn sat down with me and explained the seriousness of this sore, actually a matter of life death. He was strait with me, didn't sugar coat it either. I came to appreciate his direct approach, it helped me realize that I still had a lot of work and time ahead.
'.
Doctor Flynn's approach might seem stand offish or aloof. Some say he has no bedside manner. However when it comes to dealing with open wounds, there is no pussy footing around. It's a matter of life and death. Dr Flynn takes it very seriously, even when some of his patients don't. He might not tell you what you want to hear, he damn will tell you what you need to hear.

I have gotten to know Dr. Flynn fairly well over the years, and I am pleased to say that I have seen him smile, laugh, and even tell a joke once.

10 out of ten, will recommend

*Update to my prior review below.***
My father died because of what Dr. Flynn did to him. My father fought in pain and agony for over year before he died August 22, 2024.
I have seen comments from other families and patients and for life of me don't know why this man is allowed to have a medical license. Cape Cod Health Care has done nothing and honestly doesn't care. Clearly you can see there was no comment from them to reach out.
He needs to work at a butcher shop because that's what he is good at.

Dr. Flynn is most arrogant condescending man/doctor I have ever met. He likes to make his patients feel beneath him. He completely thinks women are useless and gives the impression that they should not speak to him. This man almost killed my father because he didn't think he should listen when my father and myself told him not to cut in to my fathers coccyx area. My father had a yeast infection and was being treated by his PCP. My father has been very ill since then. He went into sepsis because of this and could have died. The infection from this hole he made has now gone in to his bone. He will never be the same and has to be on antibiotics for the rest of his life. The other option would be cutting part of his pelvis out because of the infection spread and this most likely would kill him. It has been the worst year of my fathers life and he is unable to care for himself at home and has to be in a nursing home probably for the rest for his life. DO NOT LET HIM TREAT YOUR LOVED ONES !

My experience with Dr. Flynn was not a good experience. He came across as a very arrogant know it all doctor that doesn’t listen to his patients. He made me feel like I was wasting his time when I had him check my wound out and when I didn’t take the advice, he offered exactly the way he offered it, he became irritable and, made me feel very uncomfortable. how anyone can work for or with this guy is amazing. He is the type of person that brings you down. Stay far, far away and look for other alternatives.

To say that Dr.Patrick Flynn & his amazing staff helped me overcome a serious leg wound, would be an understatement. Over a period of nearly 4 mos, often painful, Dr Flynn’s steady hands, & keen insight of my condition, brought me to healing. Innovative techniques, & diligence.
I remain forever grateful to/for him & his wc nurses! Above & beyond!!
And for the record, Dr Flynn does possess an amazing smile.
