Dr. Dahms, his MA Liz and the staff were always professional to my family and I. Our daughter was delivered by Dr. Dahms and for that my husband and I will be forever grateful especially because of the circumstances. We will always be extremely thankful for Dr. Dahms and his expertise throughout our daughters 1st year of life. We would still be going to him if our schedules were aligned. My husband and I would highly recommend Dr. Dahms and this office to anyone in need of an Exceptionally Nice Doctor!!!

So impressed by Dr Dahms nurse Liz, she is so helpful and on point. She gets back to you when you call and always makes you feel good. I'm so blessed to have her and Dr Dahms and Stephanie in my life as I couldn't ask for any better. They are the most amazing, wonderful people in our medical world!

When you walk in in excruciating pain and you are, actively, speaking to the intake, somebody else walks up & the gal looked directly over my shoulder at the gal behind me, "It's just a walk-in. When do you need to come back?" Gal behind smirks directly at me, staff ignored my question & kept talking directly to the gal behind me. "I was still actively speaking. Do you always do that? I'm standing here explaining why I'm here and you are still ignoring me as I ask." Patient behind laughed as she walked out & the staff kept her head down and said "you'll get more 1 on 1 with the Dr". "Oh, so, they'll be better? I like to feel like I matter and you just completely dropped me as I am speaking." BOTH WOMEN TALKED TO EACH OTHER OVER ME! I walked out with blood coming out of my ear. THE WORST THING YOU CAN DO IS PUT WOMEN, ALL WOMEN ESPECIALLY, IN CHARGE. This Valley is DAMNED TO HELL for the atrocities committed by MEDICAL PERSONNEL ALL OVER! The patient behind me stood there lo g enough to smitk and say "MM-HHM!" as I asked the Staff why she just dropped me for that gal. Staff couldn't even look up they had THAT LITTLE respect for the human in front of them. See...thing is..I'm not an ESTABLISHED patient. Therefor, I'm not a "Friend". ITS ALL WHO YOU KNOW.
*Oh, 1 gal on the phone acknowledged me, there were 2 more standing (& sitting) around a corner, that had seen me, stared at me, and kept talking. UNTIL THE GAL ON THE PHONE HAD TO ASK THEM TO HELP ME FOR HER! THEN came the rotten treatment. COMPLETE APATHY BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY ARE UNTOUCHABLE! Medical system is SO CORRUPT up here. Down to the front end.

I am highly disappointed with Capstone, specifically the manager Jasmine. I’ve had bad doctors appointments before, but the one I had in August was not worth paying for. I ended up with an antibiotic and no questions on if I was breastfeeding, which I was, or not. I referred to my baby many times in the appointment. There were other frustrations and concerns I had as well that I verbalized to Jasmine during our original phone call.
Days after my appointment I called in to explain my concern for future patients, especially the lack of questioning around breastfeeding. I work with traumatized and marginalized women all over Alaska, I can’t imagine they would be aware of all the rules around medication or get lucky like I did.
Jasmine responded in a very kind manor. She seemed very understanding. I asked if I could possibly get a refund and she said she would check and try to get me one.
After 6+ weeks, 8+ phone calls on my part, answering the receptionists questions about when I was free for calls and then her instead calling when I’m busy to leave a voicemail, her not responding for weeks at a time, offering to drive to them, offering for her to leave a detailed voicemail, and then finally altogether her ghosting me and not responding to my kind intentioned call asking for a straight answer: am I getting a refund or not? Here I am.
I would not be leaving this review if she had said no, but after talking to family and friends with similar ghosting experiences it appears this is her way of placating unhappy patients until they get over it. I’m concerned and very displeased.
I will say the receptionists were always VERY kind, and I personally know Dr. Dahms and think he is great.
I will be mentioning this to my friends.

The front staff, Brenna & Kaley are welcoming, friendly & helpful. Dr. Bryan Dahms takes the time to listen, and genuinely cares what patients are saying. He then suggests options to achieve ultimate wellness goals. His M.A. Liz does a great job as well; communicating, following up, and coordinating everything. My mother, and I are both grateful to have the team at Capstone Palmer helping us to be as healthy as we can be.

I had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Shook and I cannot speak highly enough of his professional qualities. Dr. Shook's expertise and dedication are truly commendable. When I was suffering from a troubling ailment, Dr. Shook promptly diagnosed me with a bacterial sinus infection and initiated the right treatment plan. Thanks to his skillful care, I am now significantly improved and on the road to recovery. Dr. Shook's knowledge and compassion make him an exceptional physician and I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of medical care.

Capstone in Palmer is amazing! Carly Thomas and her assistant, Heidi, are fantastic. They listen to what you have to say and actually help you. They are hard working medical people that truly care about their patients! If there is a problem they try everything possible to correct the problem. The front desk and check out staff are also fantastic. They are friendly, polite, and work hard to help you. Thank you for everything Capstone in Palmer!

I've recently become a patient of Dr. Dahms at the Capstone Clinic. Not since the days of now-retired Dr. Werner have I been so enthused about my primary care physician. The staff and facilities are also top notch.
Dr. Dahms is a Valley-grown young man who came home to help care for his community, and I greatly appreciate him and his staff.
