Capstone is part of the medical industry. There is no health care, which I found out the hard way (and was very, very costly).

During the pandemic I had to get a shot in order to work overseas. Due to a tight time frame, I had to get the J&J. I called to confirm that they offered it, drove straight to the clinic, they filled out a card and before I had time to sit down I was called back. The injection was super fast, and the nurse asked if I needed a band-aid. "Am I bleeding? I asked. He said yes. "Well, then, yeah. I need a band-aid." I wasn't sure how the whole system worked, so I asked if he needed to see the card. He mumbled "Yeah, I guess" and then he gasped as he took a look. "I gave you the wrong shot."

Seriously. He didn't even check to see which one I wanted, later saying it was because everyone else was there for a booster (which I didn't even qualify for at the time). They took my card, refused to put in writing what they had done so I could explain to my client why I couldn't leave for Iceland in 2 weeks, and made me sit there for what seemed like ages. Finally, I got up and said "You've already robbed me of an hour and I need to go." They didn't even fully validate my parking, though they acted like they had and were being so generous. It was a mess and traumatic. Not being able to travel delayed a deal by over a year. And on top of that, they refused to compensate me in any way and continually treated me poorly every time I tried to communicate (same for the attorney I eventually found). All they did was kick the can down the road for 2 years until they could no longer be sued.

I forgot the creepiest part of all ...

The nurse apparently got fired, and on the way out took my information. He began calling and leaving messages saying I needed to help him get his job back, making up some story about how he had saved my life on a cross-country ski trail years ago. Bizarre, to say the least. What made this ironic is that his boss emailed saying they didn't know how to reach me and could I please call. It would've been funny if it hadn't been so costly.

You are taking your life into your hands by going to Capstone. They are not to be trusted in any way, shape or form.

I’ve been going here for 15 years. I seldom, if ever, see the same doctor two times in a row.

They are over booked, and customer service is blasé at best.

I usually feel ignored when I go.

It’s a nice building, but it’s not a great clinic.

After 15 years, I was told that I might be better served finding a new provider. So, I’m done with them.

Lydia May, APRN, is an incredible medical provider. She really listens. She does not make you feel rushed. Love that she listens to your personal preferences on approaches to medical care- whether it more holistic or traditional medicine or a combination of both. HIGHLY recommend her and so grateful to have found her!

Dr. Hennemann is wonderful. She sees all 3 of my children and so far our experience has been top notch. Most recently one of my children went in because she wasn’t feeling well and we had a test run to check for the type of infection. The results weren’t back before the office closed and she had a meeting right afterwards…but she still called me at 8:15pm when I am sure she was with her own family to give me the results. I was so appreciative of the exceptional care and thoughtfulness.

Place was nice, loved the nurse that had to deal with me and the doctor I deal with was nice as well. Was able to schedual an exam and set up future appointments and I was in and out on lunch, wasn’t Evan late for work. Love the lobby as well beautiful building, kind patient staff, also works great with my insurance. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Recent level of care has faltered. Have had to call to have referrals re-faxed or pick up to make sure they are delivered to appropriate Dr offices. Went in for yearly labs and not called for weeks for results, then not all labs were done, or “forgotten”. Made appt and asked to have said labs done only to not be called with results again. Not acceptable behavior. Have had my whole family at this establishment since 2013 and looking to change. Haven’t had this bad of care since we were on the military base. Seriously considering think twice about going to Dr Jim Cook if you have a complicated medical history, he may not be able to handle it.

Really is the best clinic in Alaska. dr. Erickson has been my doctor for 16 years and Roma has been my nurse for that long as well. Dr. Erickson shows an immense amount of compassion and listens to his patients, and Roma always has a smile and welcoming demeanor. I have never felt like I was being rushed out the door or dismissed they have always gone above and beyond, both of them show me an unwavering amount of support.
