Had to go here to pick up a blood pressure cuff and based on other reviews I was anxious and didn't know how it would go, but to my surprise the ladies working were very nice and extremely helpful. I was very happy with my experience at this location.

These are amongst the rudest providers I’ve ever encountered. In 3 years of interaction, regardless of the issue or the person who waits on you, they approach you with hostility from the get-go. This team is consistently dismissive and continuously cuts you off to answer the wrong question. This practice could benefit from customer service training.

I've been forced to use CMS for over 5 years. It's one of the most stressful things I have to do. Rarely does anyone answer the phone when you call. When you go in for anything respiratory, virtually no one acknowledges your existence until you are called for your turn, and even if only one or two people are ahead of you, it's going to take at least 30 minutes of wondering if anyone even noticed you're sitting in the waiting area. Don't dare go up to the desk and ask about your wait - they are mean. Several of the staff here have been incredibly rude, insensitive, impatient, and refused to simply listen to me.
NOW, I did call today and got answered within 5 minutes. JD was perfectly kind, and didn't sound like he was angry to be answering my phone call, which is my typical experience. It is useless to leave a voicemail- I don't think I've ever gotten a call back when I left one. So I was glad someone answered so quickly, as I usually have to call several times in a row and time out on hold, get hung up on, call back, etc. I think what's the most frustrating is that they refuse to simply MAIL filters to those who do not live in or near Champaign and cannot arrange a ride to that town every month just for filters. They could easily mail my 2 measly monthly filters for the price of a stamp. Instead, they say my "order" has to total more than some minimum before they will ship. Effectively, I only get filters every 3 months when I'm also eligible for pillows, and I don't get 3 months' worth, I only get 1. If you don't call EVERY month for your filters and then physically pick them up, you miss out. I live 25 miles away and have trouble getting there during business hours, in addition to not being able to justify waiting 30-90 minutes waiting to be seen just for 2 pieces of gauze. My CPAP tech told me in my original appointment that I was to change the filter WEEKLY, and potentially would qualify for more if I had pets. I have 3 pets. Insurance only covers 2 per month, but because of their minimum shipping requirement, I only get 2 filters every 3 months. 2, as opposed to 12+ as originally told. I have to buy these out of pocket.

I left a negative review 4 years ago. Nothing has changed. There is person at the desk in Respiratory Therapy. I was here earlier to bring my CPAP machine. One person left after no one came to greet or acknowledge our presence. When I got finished, there were 5 people waiting for help. I returned to pick up my machine, and there is one person at the desk and 2 people in front of me. Please get some help in this area. My time is worth something too. No one greets you or speaks to so you never know how long you will be waiting. Please fix this department. I got much better support and help when I met with a respiratory therapist.

This was my first time coming here. I needed to get measured for a blood pressure cuff. Other than waiting for insurance to respond, the staff was very friendly and walked me through everything from the bp cuff to giving some prenatal advice while we waited for insurance to respond. Ashley helped us and was very kind and informative!

Carle Medical Supply - an oxymoron!
NO LONGER KEEPS CPAP/BIPAP SUPPLIES IN STORE!
Did the tell anyone? Did they email you? Send a letter?
I called near the end of July before going on vacation - No one said anything, I called on September 3rd and Guess what - Nothing! Go in today - Oh we don't keep supplies here anymore call or order online.
Thank you, Not!
While in New York on vacation I had to get some supplies and guess what this place was packed with supplies! Just what we would like CMS to BE!

I was told a specific time for an appointment. I showed up 10 minutes early and was told I missed my appointment by 5 minutes because the nurse told me the wrong time when she scheduled my appointment. Now, 5 minutes shouldn't lose me my appointment time, but it did. I was told I couldn't bring my kids to the appointment so it wouldn't disrupt others. Then at the desk I'm told people bring their kids all the time. So I had jumped through hoops to get this appointment, have someone to watch my kids, got caught in traffic, was still eaely for the time i was told and then then won't let me in over a 5 minute dispute. Inconsiderate, rude, condescending people. Train your staff to better communicate correct times with patients. My time is just as valuable as yours. Maybe hire people who can manage to treat others with respect and understanding. Especially when the fault is yours.

I have been getting the run around for my cpap supplies for almost 2 years now my machine hasn't been storing my sleep data and now the insurance company says I have been noncompliant so now for 2 years I have been forced to sleep with 2 year old supplies which is not healthy.
