I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Castro Valley Open MRI. As someone who is severely claustrophobic, I had already attempted two MRIs at other locations and felt completely defeated, unsure if I would ever be able to complete the scan. From the very first interaction with the reception staff to the incredible MRI technicians, everyone went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and at ease.

They took the time to truly understand my anxiety, played my favorite music, provided a warm blanket, and checked in on me throughout the entire procedure. Their kindness, patience, and professionalism made all the difference. I was honestly shocked that I was able to go through with it, and I am beyond grateful to the entire team for helping me overcome such a big fear. If you struggle with MRI anxiety or claustrophobia, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Went today for a MRI, this little office in Castro Valley puts out excellent service. They were very professional and helpful! If I need another MRI this is were I'll be going. (I really don't want another one though, if you catch my drift!)

5 star service for my mom. Who came in for a lower back pain. Was greeted with smiles and good energy. Everything MRI etc went smoothly without a hitch! The girls did a wonderful job!

MRI Staff are wonderful, but good luck with billing. Billing doesn't answer the phone, they have their voice mails kept full, and you just go into a circle of hold hell if you want to wait to be picked up with it constantly dropping you into a system that says there is one call ahead of you, then they put you into a recording, and suddenly there are now two calls ahead of you... after waiting on the phone for an hour I was told they changed the billing number away from what it was on the statement and it just dropped me back into the voice mail box that could not accept any more voice mails... so, full circle of no service. If you want to reach them, you have a better chance of winning the lottery!!! so 5 for the MRI and 0 for the billing staff.

Carolina, Brad, Jennifer, Kat, And all other office staff were amazing! When I arrived I did not have to wait to be seen they took me back right at my appointment time. Jennifer listened to all of my concerns and reassured me that they would take good care of me. She said in the room with me throughout the entire exam along with a nother nice lady. Brad periodically checked on the throughout the exam, gave me updates, and letting me know how long I had left. They turned on my favorite Pandora station and gave me arm cushions so my arms did not touch the side of the MRI machine. Everyone was very friendly and supportive I appreciate them all! If I'm ever in need of an exam I will choose this facility. Thank you!

Professional staff, friendly and helpful. Well-maintained location with a very elegant waiting room -- not the typical sterile area, the waiting room has comfortable chairs and a pleasant feel. Plenty of parking. They have a great fish tank, if you're into looking at that. We arrived about 10 minutes early and there was no one waiting ahead of us. The tunnel itself is still closed BUT it is much wider than old-style machines, and can accommodate up to a 400-pound person.
