This place was absolutely wonderful, I had not had a lot of health intervention since my appendectomy 7-8 years ago, decided I needed to make a health appt and such and let me just say, I had a lot of anxiety about it, Shannon made it an absolutely wonderful experience. It was pleasant from the front staff to the back staff. Shannon has great bedside manner, walked me through everything, was just very kind all around. Thank you all very much!

I had a horrible experience with OBGYN Heidi May. I called in wanting to get my first Pap smear done because I’ve been having pain in my uterus. I go in, and Heidi May asks me the standard questions about my issues sexual history, etc. and is off the bat extremely judgemental. I told her I’ve had previous sexual partners in the past, but have been with the same partner for 3 years now. She then insinuates that I’ve cheated on my husband and have had sexual relations with someone else recently as my issues just started. I was so shocked all I said was no. She then insists I have an Std and tells me I need to do a STD test. I tell her I don’t believe I have any STD’s as I would have symptoms by now (the only std that won’t show symptoms for years is hiv/aids) and she just tells me no and peer pressured me to do an std test. I assumed we were still doing the Pap smear because that’s what I made my appointment for when I called in, and I found out after the fact weeks later we never did a Pap smear!!!!!! My std test comes back completely negative, and she made me feel so judged and shamed for having a sexual past. I’m now 1k in medical expenses still experiencing the same issues and I don’t know what to do and refuse to go back. EXTREMELY unprofessional, and should not be in such an intimate and personal field of work.

That was the main issue, I also told her I just got off of birth control and I feel like my issues were related to birth control, she asked me if I wanted to get back on it and I told her no, I wanted to track my cycle a natural way and not be on medications. She looked me in the eye and said “are you prepared to have a baby?” I was thrown off guard and I told her “well I am married, we’re not necessarily trying but we would be thrilled nevertheless if it happened” she was writing on her paper as I was saying this, and she raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes as she said okay. I would never recommend her to anybody.

We recently moved here short term and after having the worst experience with trying to schedule with IWH, I asked the moms community on facebook and they all recommended Chena OB/GYN. Scheduling my first prenatal appointment was a breeze. All the front desk ladies are very nice and pleasant on the phone and in person. I saw DeLys Cooks for my prenatal care and she has been nothing short of wonderful. Her beside manner is out of this world. I never feel rushed in any of my checkups, I always feel heard. I am very sad that we are moving out of state again and I will not have her on my birthing team. The texting feature on the Healow app is great and they are very attentive in responding back to you (the team of nurses) and they are all so caring. I definitely recommend Chena!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I wouldn’t recommend Chena health to anyone. I’ve been going to them since 2018, when I went in to get a health screening and get on birth control. I explained to Dr. Hogenson that I don’t have regular periods, that I would go a year without having one. I was told it was because I’m young and overweight it would work itself out. Fast forward to March 2022 I went back because my husband and I were struggling to conceive, and I explained that my last period was over a year ago, she then told me how abnormal it was that I didn’t have a period and when I said “you told me at 18 it was normal” she said she never said that. I had a bunch of tests run as did my husband. We eventually started taking a fertility medication called clomid, we did two cycles in 2022 both resulted in no pregnancy. During those two cycles they did 1 ultrasound for each cycle. We took about 3 months off and got back to the treatments at the end of December 2022 / early January 2023. We did 2 more cycles, and the first cycle they didn’t do any ultrasounds to see follicle growth. I ovulated super early and again did not get pregnant. The last cycle we did with them I suggested a trigger shot and monitoring the follicle growth. I was told I don’t qualify for the trigger shot because I ovulated “on my own.” We did the last cycle and I ovulated super late. Again not pregnant. After I got my period they told me I needed to reach out to a clinic out of state. We did just that, and after talking with a doctor from Seattle we came up with a plan. First thing is I absolutely qualify for the trigger shot. We did one cycle changing nothing same medication dose and no trigger shot didn’t get pregnant this cycle. Immediately after the negative pregnancy test they upped my dose of medication and we did the trigger shot. I’m currently pregnant. Don’t go here.

Not really sure where to start, this is for the OB department. They are way over "booked" and do not have time for each patient, and definitely do not have time for high risk patients. As an extremely high risk patient ive had to ask for all the testing AND my Rhogam shot I needed, my appointments have only been every 7-8 weeks because my doctor isnt available, seen a midwife and she couldnt answer any questions intel she talked to my doctor, so not worth the appointment in anyway. Im a fall risk as I have a neurological disease and not once been talked to about it, Iron is extremely low, Im having alot of extreme confusion that has not once been addressed, blackouts with falling, migraines every day, swelling, craving toothpaste, dehydrated, leg numbness, extreme fatigue....Just to give some ideas...but my doctor isnt available for another 4 weeks to see me. Im 32 weeks pregnant and wont get to see a doctor tell im almost 36 weeks..... not the care anyone deserves.( I haven't seen a doctor in 3 weeks already, so plus 4 weeks= 7 weeks between appointments)
