I had a great visit. Dr. Gilbert has been my doctor for years and I have great confidence in him. Wonderful doctor and person. Answered all my questions about cataracts. I appreciate that he took the time with me. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert and Chico Eye Center.

I have been going to Chico Eye Center for many years. They have always been good, but the old facility was slow and a bit chaotic. This was my first visit since they moved and, what an improvement!! The staff was amazing and they are so well organized now. I highly recommend them they are a well oiled machine with a terrific staff.

I cannot express enough how much gratitude I have towards Dr. Ransbarger and the staff for helping my daughter with her Strabismus. From start to finish I have been so impressed with her professionalism and compassion. I was confident from the start we were in good hands with a skilled person who also took the time to reassure, explain, and also connect with my daughter. She was so good with her. I have nothing but great things to say and we will be forever thankful for her gift and her team.

It was not explained to me that my exam wasn’t a typical routine eye exam. The doctors don’t disclose when what they are going to do is not covered by vision insurance and will be considered medical. It was mentioned briefly DURING the exam as if it was a future option I could choose to do. I didn’t know I could refuse further examination or that my exam wasn’t routine. Now I have a nearly $400 medical bill in exchange for eye drop brand recommendations. Will be going to a more transparent office in the future.

Dr Ransbarger is an exceptional ophthalmologist! My eyes and medical history behind my eyes are an anomaly— I trust in her knowledge and practical/honest approach more than any of the 20+ docs I have had over my lifetime. Even though she is a pediatric ophthalmologist, she specializes in strabismus! Chico and the Far North are blessed to have her here. Just know it will take time to get an appointment! Well worth the wait 🙂

Incredibly clean! The staff was very friendly. Dr. Ransbarger was amazing! I was worried with how my 18month old son would do, but the staff and Dr. Ransbarger were so sweet and gentle with him. She is amazing with kids and very informative!

As my vision has improved, I owe it all to my ophthalmologist, Dr Gilbert, and his team of professionals at Chico Eye Center.
I feel very comfortable when I walk in and am helped on every level by the team, staff working at Chico Eye Center.
If you care about your vision, and I know you do, then give Chico Eye Center a chance. You will not regret it one bit.
I was directed to the waiting room and had listened to other people talking. They were a buzz about Dr Gilbert and the opthamologist at Chico Eye Center. That's a good sign.
