they do good in most calls and appointments but since i was struggling with allergies that were not needing emergency help at the moment so they transferred me to chiefs, told them my symptoms and they said i’d get a call in 60 MINUTES!!!! and so my husband put me in hot shower to help and they call me 5 mins after i was told an hour, we aren’t impressed by this but i also love the day shift people, so love hate

First time going to Chiefs. The staff were nice, so there was no problem there. Google took me down the first driveway to get to chiefs, and it was the wrong road, and I wound up behind the building. There are no clear posted signs that are visible enough to see where to go from the road. There are signs, but they are tiny and hard to see, or else I would have continued down the road further to the right area. I called the number I was given in text for the appointment, and someone on university tried to "imagine" where I was and tell me where to go. It wasn't very helpful. I wound up walking around the whole building, and nothing was clearly posted as to what area I was in. It was also hard to know where to go inside the information desk was empty and couldn't find anyone, like I was told I would be able to ask for information. My suggestion is get bigger signs and post areas outside. I had no clue where i was. If i had went further down the road i would have seen main parking lot and maybe thay isbmy fault. ?

Many areas leave something to be desired, but overall it is a relatively functional hospital that tries to stay on top of their patient's issues.

Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center (CAIHC) has integrated AthenaHealth's services into their care. Patients can use this to host 'telehealth' appointments over the phone with their providers - which is fairly easy to request and set up. Another service is the patient portal that patients can log into online to view their medical information. It's a very professional, and effective portal.

The quality of the care might not always be perfect, but they seem to consistently make a positive effort. I think even if you are having trouble with your provider, you would likely find a resolution by asking for another provider. It pays to have a good relationship with them. It can also pay to look into ways you can care for yourself, so that you're prepared to offer suggestions to your provider. Look into care you think would be effective for you, and ask your provider what's stopping you from receiving it.

CAIHC doesn't have an emergency department and usually works through appointments. So, wait times are tolerable. However, they often exist. I suspect the hospital has room to improve this.

The building is really big and fancy, but more importantly it has been sanitary when I go there. I'm uneasy about how effective the design of the building is for ensuring a clean environment in the long-term. So far, so good. Maybe they can get AI drones to clean the hard-to-get spots.

Very nice facility. Handicap parking is oddly set, but inside building is very nice and most importantly clean.

Generally good, but when some of their staff want to be what, they sure be what. But at least the attitude was free of charge. (@ Physical Therapy/ Chief Peter John, with son, 3/1/24. We were early, but they called it late.)

Im always getting yelled at and hung up on because i have a stutter, which just makes my stutter worse. On top of that, theyve been refusing to let me see a neurosurgeon for several years now even tho i show symptoms of, and have good reason to suspect, that i might have a SPINAL INJURY. i can barely even walk and am in constant extreme pain, so much so that sometimes i black out and go unconscious because the pain is SO intense. I also have multiple chronic illnesses, some diagnosed and some undiagnosed even though i meet all diagnositc criteria and they admit it to my face, they just dont "feel comfortable" giving me the official diagnosis because "its statistically very rare" BUT ITS NOT esp when its highly comorbid with the other fully diagnosed health issues i have. they outright tell me to my face that im just making things up for attention and even the doctors who dont say that to me still act and treat me like they think im nuts. They might as well diagnose me with "female hysteria."

This place is rife w ableists, racists, and misogynists, and nobody takes my health seriously. Remember my name, because im probably going to be dying soon and its all because they refuse to take my health seriously and allow me access to the care and diagnosis i need.
