I highly recommend Dr. Johnson to those who have had bad experiences with mental health help in the past. He has gone above and beyond to help me (ADHD, PTSD, MDD, GAD, and more), from pharmacy to insurance pricing issues with my medications. He really is a great person who went to school to help others, and it shows.

The initial visit was very hard for me, but that’s because of my mental health. Please be prepared to be asked lots of very deep and concerning questions, things your best friend might not even know about you. I left them very terrible feedback on their own survey. Like paragraphs of how old wounds were opened up, leaving my brain overwhelmed on top of the ADHD I was trying to get treatment for, felt rushed… they called me the next day. Talked me off the bridge of insanity basically. I was still upset, and very anxious over the call, but about a year later, I’m very pleased. Probably wouldn’t have been able to write this review without the new combo of meds. I didn’t realize how extremely deep down I was spiraling out of control, until now, I now fee like a teenager who life is a lot more controllable and somewhat more worry free.

Also, I easily speak up about problems I have because worry free now because “it’s literally part of his job”… I know I wrote a lot, hopefully more people can find peace, without wanting to rest in it… thanks!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My 81 year old mother was having severe anxiety. Her primary doctor gave her Ativan which was helping and then referred her to a Nurse Practitioner at this place. The Nurse practitioner was rude and uncompassionate. She took my Mom off Ativan with no taper which put her through withdrawal and she ended up in a mental hospital for 3 weeks. She now has a psychiatrist who put her back on the Ativan and increased the dose, saving her life. The rude Nurse practitioner does not see patients as individuals, only as text book. I can't imagine how or why this woman ever got into a psychiatric practice.

Took months to schedule an first appointment because whoever does the first appt scheduling never answered the phone and wouldn't call back during the requested afternoon hours. It got to the point that I had to ask the manager to help schedule it. After finally getting in and going through a ton of paperwork to help me treat a condition that I have that has been repeatedly diagnosed, I was told by the nurse practitioner that she "will only treat anxiety and depression" and she tried to diagnose me with heart and liver issues, which I do not have and even if I did would be handled by my other doctors. Tried to give this place a chance because it is much closer to my home, but the staff seemed to have no concern for my mental health.

Been using them for over 8 years. People have become very RUDE. They assume everyone abuses their medication routine. They will leave you without your meds for days as you go through withdrawl from it. Staff no longer has empathy any customer service communication skills. Glad I'm leaving.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately after Dr.Yu left the practice had trouble securing a full time provider - but call any behavioral health / psychiatrist in this area and you will find they have a wait list / are not taking new patients. Psychiatrist are very hard to find in Cecil county area. The front desk staff has been more than helpful with the change up of providers and keeping me comfortable with getting acclimated to new doctors. Yes sometimes my paper scripts take longer to receive but this is NOT due to the front desk staff, Dr.Ahmed was following a 72 hour refill request that as patients we signed and agreed too so he would often take up to 3 days to print the script. He has now left the practice. I would recommend Union Behavioral Health as they have been extremely helpful in treating my depression and would not be here today without their help.

Terrible experience. I came to Union in 2018 after a suicide attempt and they never credited my progress. They never listened, they'd ask me the same questions, and one doctor in particular imposed her own personal biases on me. They just push medication on you. I would never seek out their group therapy, individual therapy, or psychiatric services. They don't care.

My son is special needs and I have had nothing but an overall great experience with this group. They have always been kind and professional. Our therapist is sweet and listens to what we talk about.

Mrs. Gabby was awesome when I was seeing her. Lost my medical insurance at that time, now I have it back. I hope to see Gabby again, she made me feel safe to talk about what ever I needed to talk about.
