I had been a loyal customer, but not anymore. Today was the worst encounter I’ve ever had with a healthcare provider. I scheduled an appointment, completed the required paperwork, received a reminder email, and arrived early—only to be told my appointment was canceled because I didn’t call to confirm. At no point in their spam-like reminder text messages was I instructed to call or informed that my appointment would be canceled. When I asked to see this supposed written policy—something never required in prior years—the office manager told me to “call the Medical Board of California,” despite being an optometry office.

The new office manager, Jacob Kamarzarian, never expressed any remorse and instead blamed me for not confirming. He smirked as he said, “Why didn’t you call to confirm? The doctor’s time is valuable,” clearly enjoying wasting my time and seeing my frustration. This was my only afternoon off after working 12-hour days all week, and it was a complete waste—apparently, my time means nothing to them.

This office has lost a longtime customer due to its unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and blatant disrespect for patients. Avoid LensCrafters and Dr. Tina Chiou at all costs.
