To say that I am disappointed and angry is an understatement.
Nearly two months ago I made an appointment for a surgery consult. I show up to the appointment, miss a considerable amount of work to make it, then mid appointment I am told it is NOT a surgery consult. Ok no big deal, I’ll just wait until they can schedule me in for one. They then tell me that, since I took the service, it is $70 for the bill. I asked why am I being made to pay if they didn’t book the appointment correctly, was told that I needed to pay or it’d go to collections. I sucked it up and paid so I wouldn’t get tackled out the door and called the next day to try and make sense of it. Turns out there’s another doctor by a similar name who does the surgery, and the doctor I seen USED to do surgery but no longer does. The receptionist made a mistake and booked my appointment wrong and I had to get approved for a refund. I reach out to billing who gives me the run around before stating “well you showed up to the appointment and took the service so we’re not refunding you”. I advise I wouldn’t have taken said service if I knew it wasn’t a surgery consult like I was supposed to be booked for! They let me know there’s nothing they can do but would still “escalate” it. still didn’t get any answers until my next visit when I requested to speak with management regarding the issue. Spoke with Aracely the manager for the building who apologized profusely and said she’d have billing cut me a check due to the mistake and I should not have been charged for that visit. I get a call after the weekend letting me know the check was approved and they’d call me to pick it up when it was ready.

Weeks go by and I still hear nothing regarding the check. I show up to my follow up appointment and when I checked in I asked about the check I was supposed to receive for $70. The receptionist lets me know she isn’t seeing anything in the file but she would work on it and let me know once she has an update. My appointment goes fine and afterwards I speak with her again. She lets me know I had past due balances and it was applied to the balance. How can I have a past due balance? If I go up to the counter every time to check out and specifically ask “do I have a balance due today?” they would have let me know right Wrong I guess, because I’m told I should know I have a copay and should still pay it. I let her know I ask every single time and they always tell me No and that’s that! She says it’s my responsibility to be checking with the PSR who checks me out. I let her know that, when I’m asking if there is a balance due for the visit, that is me doing my due diligence. She gave me no proper answer when asked “what else could I be doing as part of my due dilligence?”.

So not only has my “check” been applied towards a balance I didn’t even know I had, I had to pay nearly $100 out of pocket today for multiple visits they are charging me for. They can’t give me a call back, they can’t provide me an explanation, they can’t seem to care to communicate to me. I am beyond disappointed in the way they are doing business. I’ve never had reason to complain up until this point and to say I’m frustrated is an understatement. They’ve let me go on through more than 5 appointments with growing balances and haven’t let me know not ONCE there ever was a balance to begin with EVEN THOUGH I ask every single time I check out. I get a doctors note and an appointment reminder card every single time I check out, and 5+ appointments they had a chance to communicate this to me and failed to do so.

The care provided was excellent and very friendly. Fast and prompt service from all of the individuals I engaged with positive and caring attitudes as well. Highly recommend would attend again. Very appreciative of the service that was given.

Honestly this is not the best place, they do not respect your time as a patient, I always show up 15 min previously to my appointment and they make me wait in the room for 45min to an hour until the doctor shows up, is always like this, is really bad ohh.. but if you show up late for 5 minutes they won’t take you in I have seen it with other people.
