Staff is helpful and courteous, I've only had a couple of appointments but there was no waiting for hours past my appointment time to be seen, that's a real plus these days. With finding a PCP getting harder it's nice to find a clinic willing to take new patients that's close to home.

Dr Matias is absolutely a God send to me in my life. I’m a transfer to this facility but I’ve been a patient of hers for about 5 years now. She is so genuinely concerned about your health and well being. She’s patient, she’s kind, she’s funny too. She knows how to make me laugh and smile and I appreciate that. It’s the relationship that is so important between Dr. and patient. If you need a new Dr. don’t look past this facility because I’ve had nothing but good vibes and feelings here. It already feels like my new healthcare home. Thank you Dr Matias!

Not only was Michelle very rude and not helpful whatsoever when it came to helping me get to a surgeon to get rid of the Necrosis I had in both hips and shoulders but the office illegally leaked my medical information to my 2 older kid's mother who had no right to receive my medical information and she's never been able to obtain it

I have lived in this County now for 24 years. I moved from the Pacific Northwest had a doctor and some of the best care in the country. After 25 years I found myself dealing with the worst possible pains in all my joints. Dr. Mitchell and all staff at the clinic treated me every bit as well or better than I have been treated in 62 years. Dr. Mitchell was very knowledgeable and professional. Since that day less than one year ago my need for care has continued and again there willingness to serve my needs is impeccable. I will say at first my impression of Dr. Mitchell was a bit reserved but have since understood her need to deliver services to a very large clientele. I myself understand certain professions having bedside manners that seem stiff and dry but also know the importance of being as open and honest for the best outcome. My appreciation for the quality care received at The Community Health Center is top notch and I’d recommend them to anyone in need! Mr. Mickie Schmith

Front desk and nurses have been great in my 5+ years going here, but that 1 star is simply for Dr. Michelle Mitchell. Worst doctor I have ever seen. Saw me 2 months postpartum when I was dealing with everything that comes along with that and all I wanted was to inquire about starting back up my previously prescribed medication and some advice. She treated me with such blatant disrespect and hatefulness that my husband literally had to take our baby outside he was so furious. We were both in absolute shock after leaving with what we had experienced. I literally feel like I need therapy just from how a doctor treated me. Again, front desk and nurses are great but since Jamely left and Dr. Mitchell came along…never been the same.

Since the retirement of my doctor, I have seen a certain PA twice. The very first time she met me, she changed my medication without even knowing why I was on that strength of pain medication. I had to tell her both times I met with her what was wrong with me. When this new strength of medication wasn't working, I called to let her know and she refused to change me back. Another phone call and a face to face appt resulted in the same answer. NO. She would not even consider how my doctor and I had finally gotten me to a good place and did not seem to care in the least about the amount of pain I was experiencing or that this decrease in dosage and pain was interfering with my Physical Therapy.(I have to have a spinal fusion and a total knee replacement AND I have nerve tumors in both of my feet). When I asked her if she thought my previous doctor didnt know what he was doing or was just prescribing unnecessary medications, she had nothing to say. She tried to tell me that policies in place kept them from prescribing this strength..however I am a pharmacy technician and I have seen scripts come through, written by her, for the same strength of medication I was requesting to be put back on. So she lied.

I would encourage anyone who is in need of pain management (my doctor and I had signed contracts that this PA completely ignored) to find somewhere else to go. The remaining PA's and ONE actual Medical Doctor, do not appear to have their patients best interests at heart. As far as I am concerned, what this woman has done should be considered Patient Neglect and I fully intend to report it. I tried to explain to her that I am once again driving home from work in tears because of the pain. I am waking up several times in the middle of the night, because of the pain. She did not care in the least.

Went as a new patient to see Dr.Old, but never once saw him. I informed them I was having a gene screen at another facility and called back to find out about my medications I was told they wouldn't allow them because I went to another clinic. I think they really need to work on their communication with patients. I'm sorry not everyone has COVID, BUT ALL PATIENTS SHOULD STILL BE A PRIORITY.
Maybe the county should put more money into Ark City health dept where everyone is kind, courteous, and supportive.

Dr. Michelle or Mickey she is the worst doctor you could ever have. My 17-year-old seen her today and the doctor had kicked me out of the room and I believe that is against HIPAA rule when it’s a minor child all they talked about was birth control and therapy, so why was it a big deal to kick me out of there? This place is a no go
