I went to this urgent care facility after separating my shoulder and was seen by Paul Norton. He rushed through the entire visit, dismissed my concerns, and had a condescending attitude.

Most of the appointment was him complaining about how busy he was, all while claiming he “never rushes patients.” He also went off on this weird tangent about how ER doctors don’t know what they’re doing but he, as a PA, does. It came across as insecure and unnecessary.

He brushed off my concerns about whether surgery might be necessary and was rude and sarcastic to my partner when she was trying to ask a question. The point where he completely lost me was when he said the ER took the wrong x-ray but then claimed he could tell from looking at it that I’d be fine. If it’s the wrong x-ray, how can you confidently say that?

I went to New England Orthopedic Surgeons instead, where they actually took new x-rays and treated me like a person. Paul didn’t bother, probably because I was his last patient of the day and he was more focused on going home than on my care.

If you work in healthcare, you need some bedside manner and basic respect for your patients. Paul didn’t have either. I won’t be coming back.

Technically , I can’t really review this walk in clinic. However, I don’t want this happening to others. I was told over the phone that this clinic is for non emergent acute injuries ( less than 2 weeks) . I felt as if my injury fell under this description. I’m a nurse so I understood the basic idea. I was turned away by the receptionist , after she interrupted my brief description of my injury - while the patients / clients in the waiting room tuned in.

I would score negative stars if possible. I am 70yrs. old and had fallen onto my hand July 28, 2024. I went to this injury clinic on July 30, 2024 as directed by my physician. I was not listened to either then or two weeks later when I called or at my four week follow up. I have a torn ligament on my thumb and a wrist injury. I went to New England Orthopedic and I am scheduled for surgery. I do have arthritis in my thumb, but I also had a torn ligament. My thumb is disfigured, I can’t use my hand and I have severe pain. I wasn’t listened to and I was told several times that it was just arthritis pain. Just because I am 70 yrs. old I still need use of my hand and I was not taken seriously by anyone. Three months in pain and this could have been taken care of months ago. Totally uncaring and unprofessional. Dr. Adler from New England Orthopedics examined my hand, had xray’s taken which confirmed the tear and scheduled me for surgery. Stay away, especially if you are older.

I went because I was having a lot of trouble with my shoulder. Everyone was very nice and attentive, and they quickly diagnosed the issue. The doctor treated it on the spot and it has been fine ever since!

Dr. Hoffman is a gifted surgeon. He operated on my knee and ankle. I’ve had excellent results. I would highly recommend this provider.

Every member of my family has been seen here for one thing or another over many years. Every visit and follow up has been wonderful start to finish.

They will not call you back. They’re a factory. They operate based on volume.

I Had surgery on left shoulder several months ago. Did my PT religiously, iced, Tylenol, kept all my appointments. Arm never got better and despite my sharing these concerns I haven’t received a call back in over two weeks despite being told by the DOCTOR to call AND leaving multiple messages with the nurses and medical assistants.

They think because they slap the Mass General Brigham name on their practice that it means something. It’s just really really poor level of care. Seek care elsewhere.

I was seen at the Cooley Orthopedic Walk-in clinic Wednesday 11/15/23.

I had a broken arm from a fall that morning.

The service was excellent, the staff was very helpful and compassionate. I can’t stop talking about how great the experience was. Telling all my friends, “you don’t have to go to the ER, you get excellent service, they have x-ray and casting right there.”

Thank you, Cooley Ortho care, staff!

And by the way, they are located just over the Northampton Hatfield line. Less than 1 mile from River Valley Coop.
