Our Mom was here for over 4 years. It was a wonderful experience. She had many friends there (including a lot of the workers). We were happy with the care (especially Jenn). Nell and her team were also amazing. Dawn was part of her care team in recent times and was a great addition. The dining and housekeeping staff bent over backwards for our Mom. It is a great place

I have had the distinct pleasure of working at Cornerstone on the Compass side doing programming when they first opened. I met my wonderful boyfriend there (who is now the Director of Dining) and just recently, moved my Mom in as a resident. To have now seen the multiple facets of Cornerstone from a few different angles, it gives me a special vantage point. My Mom needed a place for safety, security, nourishment and community. All of my expectations have been exceeded now that Mom is here. I can tell you with confidence that your family member will have top notch care, engaging events, well-balanced meals and be surrounded by the most loving and compassionate staff members. From maintenance, to housekeeping, to the management, you can feel secure in knowing that all eyes will be on your loved one. As a daughter, I can sleep well at night knowing Mom is in excellent hands. Cornerstone holds a special place in my heart and hope it will in yours.

I can't begin to imagine what it is like to reach a point where after living in the same house you raised a family, celebrated the majority of your adult life, experienced both loss and grief and joys and challenges, you come to the decision that you need to find and relocate to an appropriate alternative living arrangement. This is what our mom had to do after living in her home for 70 years. It is no small undertaking. It comes at a time in your life that the concept can be overwhelming. Change can seem daunting. As we discussed the benefits of assisted living with our mom, we anticipated moving forward would be difficult emotionally and physically. Choosing and then moving mom into her choice of Cornerstone was not without manageable challenges but, the experience was nothing but positive. Thanks to the staff's genuine care, patience, communication skills and kindness and respect for each other and Cornerstone's residents, Mom couldn't be happier with what she calls her new "home". She raves about the care she receives, the meals served, the quality of the staff and the access to the art room. When we visit and interact with the staff i.e. Jenn and Nel (among others) we know she is living in a healthy, trustworthy place under the care of some pretty special people. We are grateful for the ease of this significant transition made possible by the Cornerstone staff.

My mom stayed at Cornerstone at Canton in the memory care area for several months as a temporary measure until an apartment became available at their Milford location. I found the staff and care there to be exceptional and would strongly recommend this community. As a physician assistant at a local hospital I am well aware of the needs of age related conditions and the varying quality of care of assisted living facilities. Cornerstone has exceeded in areas of professionalism, kindness and communication. The programs kept my mom engaged and busy throughout the day often with live music and singing which my mom truly enjoys. Every effort was made to keep my mom safe and happy. Mike Schaus, Julie, WIlgard, Jenn, Olivia, Samantha and all the staff will truly be missed.

Rebecca Scalzo, the executive director is knowledgeable, kind, and an expert in aging. Her dementia awareness trainings are powerful and insightful, I highly recommend working with this community.

My mom was living independently in her second floor apartment for the past 10 years. She fell in early April and was hospitalized and in rehab with Covid. Her next step was moving to Cornerstone at Canton. It was already by far my favorite of all the assisted living facilities we’d visited in the past. She just turned 95 this summer and is thriving there due to the awesome care she has gotten along with healthy meals and fun and informative activities. The place is always lively and so immaculate! The decor definitely does not shout out that “old people live here!” I love visiting because everyone who works there is so nice and has really gotten to know my mom. Most importantly I know she’s in a warm loving and safe environment.

My father has Alzheimer’s and last year became unable to remain at home any longer. It was a very difficult decision for our family to move him but his health and well-being depended on having a level of care that a memory unit provides.
I’ve been a physical therapist for 30 years and I’ve specialized in dementia care for most of them. I’ve worked in many assisted living facilities and memory care units over the years and I can tell you that this one is the best I’ve seen.
I’m incredibly grateful that my father is getting the care he deserves and our family can rest easily knowing he’s happy and well cared for.
The administration has been incredibly thoughtful and supportive in assisting our family with the challenges inherent with the transition and now my father is busy making new friends and doing community activities all day!

My mother has been at Cornerstone since August 2020 and I am a resident of Cantin. We moved her from another facility and she has been thriving here. We picked this facility because many friends in Canton recommended it. Mom has Alzheimer’s but the Connected Life program has been so good for her. She loves all the activities, especially music and art. The staff here are caring. They interact more with my mother than where she used to live.

For the person who gave a one star review and mentioned music I am not sure what they’re talking about. Based on the date the review was given I assume it was made after a concert outside last Saturday that was for residents and families. I attended with my mother and she loved it. The music was not inappropriate. The residents loved it and all were singing along or clapping and some were dancing. It was also at 6-7 pm at night so it wasn’t late either. It was a wonderful event that raised money for the Alzheimer’s association.
