All around terrible experience with this clinic, up to to and including HIPAA violation (they uploaded another patient's confidential medical info to my own MyChart test results — we don't even have similar names.)

Outside of that, on multiple occasions I've needed referrals to outside providers, and each time have had a nearly impossible time getting my provider at Country Doctor/Seattle Roots to put the referrals through correctly (sending faxes to the wrong numbers, taking weeks to send them or simply not sending them at all, faxing referrals with incomplete info, etc) which has resulted in delays of weeks or months in receiving care from outside specialists.

This is also the only clinic where I've ever walked out of an appointment, after being apparently forgotten about in an exam room for half an hour when the nurse went to get a flu shot. I have pretty basic healthcare needs, and still had a terrible time getting them met at this clinic — I can't imagine how much worse it would be for someone managing complex or multiple conditions/medications.

So far my experience here has been 10 out of 10 the doctor that I see is really patient kind and compassionate and really has a good understanding of how to speak to the approach of making healthy changes. The front desk people are super nice and while being professional, they’re also super friendly and just casual to be around. This is probably the best experience that I’ve had with a doctors office at any point in my life. I’m on Medicaid and it’s really helpful to go somewhere that works with Medicaid insurance users often. I’m very very grateful to have been connected with country doctor, and grateful for their work in general.

I’ve been coming here for over 5 years and office staff are always considerate and intelligent. I leave feeling taken care of. They work with medicaid, other insurance, and sliding scale for those unfortunate not to have it. I feel so grateful having them as a resource!

They’re okay. They often run 20-45 minutes behind, but I’ve only had positive experiences with the front desk staff so far. My PCP is responsive to my concerns and is nice, although she doesn’t follow up on ongoing concerns across visits, if that makes sense. I had a visit with a different physician one time when my PCP wasn’t available soon enough, and she seemed rushed and like she wasn’t quite listening to me. Scheduling via MyChart can be a bit tricky, and they don’t tell you that if you have a telehealth appointment you have to receive a link via text when your doctor is available. I would prefer to be sent the link in advance via MyChart so I can join on my laptop.

Out of touch and inappropriate TRAUMA INDUCING CARE. Non-consensual touch in 2025, out of bounds ill advised provider that thinks she can manage her PROFESSIONAL CLINICAL MEDICAL PRACTICE by putting her hands all over vulnerable people in a Physician/patient dynamic where the power imbalance is so stark and physical touch should NEVER be administered without clear consent, much less with her turbulent fluctuating overly emotional coddling conduct. IN A CLINICAL SETTING. Unsafe medical provider cares more about which patients are 'leaving her' than she does about providing safe, sound, medically relevant patient centered response. Deficient and unsafe healthcare. Should be required to adjust her conduct but the organizations irresponsible culture normalizes and sustains such inappropriate non-consensual behavior within a clinical setting. They are LICENSED MEDICAL PHYSICIANS. They are supposed to be invested in HEALING, not gaslighting, condescending and HARMING FURTHER with their rogue inappropriate non-consensual HIGH TOUCH approach. Unacceptable conduct from providers as they are billing Medicaid for their HUGS and teary eyed heart-to-hearts while offering very little medically meaningful response. Poor and marginalized people, all people, deserve more dignity and respect in their healthcare settings. You will not find it with certain providers here. Want real, safe, medically responsible treatment? Avoid this organization. They are insincere about their priorities and cause GREAT HARM. Donors to this organization should be very concerned where all that money for implementing trauma informed care is going. Because it sure didn't show up in the 8 years of transference inducing and inappropriate conduct and management from a 'doctor' that I was subjected to. Low income people deserve high quality SAFE healthcare just like anyone else.

And they fancy themselves as capable of housing private residences to rent out in the same building as their medical clinic! Talk about an unsafe hybrid! So not only was I subjected to significant medical trauma over 8 years with the inept provider, they were also charging me 1500.00 a month to rent an apartment with a bedroom that shared a wall with the medical records department! No use filing a grievance, because the person in charge of that will just hang up on you. Over and over and over. She will also insult and ridicule you as you are in mental health crisis, due to the atrocious conduct and lack of boundaries by provider. NO ACCESS TO MEANINGFUL GRIEVANCE. They fall in line and protect the offending provider, and do everything they can to gaslight, discount and even intimidate the patient/victim. Must get some kinda kick back for squashing important valid patient complaints. This is called healthcare injustice. And they are keeping it alive and well. Doners dollars well spent.

Harmful misuse of position and status that directly impacts the vulnerable person in a negative way is a tale as old as time in settings where the power dynamics difference is so pronounced.

Just didn't see it coming in COMMUNITY HEALTH.

We need to be on the lookout for abuse of power in ALL arenas, particularly marginalized vulnerable people. We especially need to feel AUTHORIZED AND EMPOWERED to name it and address it in our health care settings.

It is not okay to treat people like they did me. Ethically deficient, to say the least.

Started off loving this place and my doctor, haven't seen her now for years even though I've been there several times...even though she is my primary care doctor. Came in recently with a hernia... Not only did I later read in their psychiatric notes that I was" very talkative and animated", which seemed reasonable for the pain I was in, but also got treated like a drug seeking addict for wanting pain medications for a hernia.... It's become a place of intolerant and insensitive doctors. Very sad.

I have been going to this clinic since it was opened by Dr. Moore. He was my primary care physician until he stepped down. I have the choice to go to any other doctor in the city, because I have worked hard to get a career with the best insurance. I have lived all the way in Edgewood for four years, but you best believe I drove up to Capitol Hill for my appointments. Country Doctor Community Clinic has the most amazing staff you've ever seen. I love my doctor. We have a relationship built on honesty and trust. It goes both ways. I have seen a number of counselors there over the years & they have all been great and so helpful. The lab is so understanding with people, like myself, who are afraid of needles. They're gentle and calming. The front desk workers are a ray of sunshine on your cloudiest of days. The nurses all have an amazing sense of compassion and somehow an incredible sense of humor. They can pick you up when everything seems to be putting you down. The maintenance staff keeps the building immaculately clean & I am so thankful for that. It's not often you go into a clinic and have a sparkling restroom every time you go in. The pharmacy is quick and kind. They don't carry the controlled medications, and kudos for them for that. They are protecting themselves, and they're protecting you. The wait times are pretty much nihil. I've had a couple of times where I had to wait a while, but nine times out of ten, you get in early or on time. If you send a message on MyChart about an issue you're having (send pics, it helps), they WILL write you back, they will call you back. They are so dedicated to their patients! They have someone there who's sole responsibility is to help people sign up for insurance. This clinic is a team effort. Not one of them can do their job in such a proficient manner without the rest of the team. No matter where I live in Seattle, I will never go anywhere else if I can help it. I love Country Doctor Community Clinic and you will too!

I’ve been a patient of theirs for YEARS and cannot speak more highly of them. They’re incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and work with you. They’re also convenient and so accommodating. Country Doctor has great staff members, and it truly feels like your neighborhood one-stop spot for all things health-related.
