the doctor i got was super sweet!!! so accommodating, answered every question, and didn’t make me feel like i was dramatic and assured me i can come in again if my pain got worse. i must’ve been lucky because after reading reviews apparently people have to wait long times, but that wasn’t the case for me i was actually seen right away AND the doctor came in in about 5 minutes!

Every time I’ve come here, its been because I absolutely had to.

And even with that it often hasn’t been worth it. My usual wait time in the lobby is about 30 minutes, usual wait time in the back room? About an hour before I see a doctor.

I’ve been handed other people’s paperwork (including prescription paperwork) and pushed out of the door, received xrays that I never got information back about, had staff be incredibly rude when asking questions about my condition etc…

Good luck even calling the place at times, I tried calling recently to ask about some testing and wasn’t even sent to a voicemail, just hung up on,

Two hour wait (plus additional wait in room) with three people in lobby at 3 pm because there is one practitioner that needs a lunch break. I understand needing a lunch break, but an urgent care shutting down operations for an hour seems crazy. There has got to be a better way to manage urgent care. Urgent cares exist to avoid hospital visits and lower cost of health care. But we will likely have to go to hospital for something that could have been taken care of in 10 minutes at urgent care. Just baffling. If your insurance covers ANYWHERE else you should go. In fact, that’s what the people at the front desk of Davis Urgent Care told us.

I came in for a rapid onset high fever. The PA who saw me administered a flu test (negative) and listened to my lungs. That’s it - no bloodwork, urine test, or chest x-ray. Said I had some kind of viral infection and to come back in a few days if my symptoms changed or worsened.
I went to the UCD SHC the next day since my fever was not getting better. Turns out it was bacterial bronchitis.
Two stars just because the staff were nice.

You're better off going elsewhere. Tried to treat my strep throat as soon as I started feeling the telltale signs, as I'm prone to it.

Went in for a strep test and was sent away without antibiotics despite my frequent history of strep and the white streaking on my tonsils (which were noted by the doc, but deemed "minimal"), and because I had no fever at the time (3 hours later, I'm running at 101°)

Was told I'd get the culture results back in approximately 3 days, only to never get a call. After many phone calls asking for the results, on day 10 (7 business days later) they admitted that they lost my strep culture due to an admin error. I ended up getting treated elsewhere in the meantime, thankfully.

On top of it, I was told in the office that there was no copay for the visit, only to receive an invoice 2 months later. Overall, it was an extremely frustrating experience and I urge anyone considering treatment here to go elsewhere.

I’ve been here twice now. I saw two different doctors each time. They both had horrible bedside manner and barely gave me any information about what was wrong or what I needed to do to help treat things. Last time I literally had to follow the guy back to his desk to keep asking him questions about medication/how long I would be contagious.

What's the point of being an urgent care without an X-ray tech on duty? Both times I've come here, once on a Friday and the other time, over the weekend, they did not have one available.

I saw the reviews on google, and I was so afraid to go there, but it was the nearest place of my house. I'm so glad I went there. I don't communicate very nicely in English, and they were so patient with me! The nurse tried many different words until I could totally understand her. The doctor was so calm and did all the physical exams, explained everything! They were super helpful 😃
