I HAVE been using this Pharmacy several years now and wish I could use for Everything!! Warm and friendly service ESPECIALLY "Sona'.. lovely lady pharmacist! HAPPY. FUNNY SMART.. super personality! I was recently back in LA for a quick visit and driving by this, my old pharmacy, I made a note to write a review when I got a chance. This independent shop, which I used for about five of the 10 years I lived in Silver Lake, is one of those things in life that work so well it's easy to take for granted. Until you move, and realize how special and rare such a business is these days; in any field, but particularly the retail pharmacy space. DMP is a perfect example of something functioning exactly as it OUGHT to... i.e. a business who's customers require various and sundry medications in a timely manner--that is, a pharmacy--that actually CARES that said customers indeed receive their medications in a timely manner (many of whom undoubtedly critically rely on them to remain healthy/functional) and does so with kindness, understanding, and a personal touch for regulars. Things that are all but extinct in 99.99% of this country's chain-dominated retail pharmacy landscape. When I moved from LA to South Florida a few years back, I was absolutely floored at the horrible, incompetent service and, on a human level, the awful, even cynical treatment customers, myself included, receive at virtually all outposts of the remaining national chains. It's jaw dropping, and again, another example of something I took for granted....until I didn't. Thank you for many years of great service, and I'm glad to see you're still here, continuing to no doubt provide the same for countless others.

They are always super helpful. If a medication had a supply issue they actually get the answers on why and how long, and seek to get you alternatives that might work with your insurance. I had previously assumed that having a big box pharmacy meant more reliable, but now I think differently. Rite Aid and CVS now feel so burdened by corporate protections that the pharmacists are more tied up and can't get those sorts of results. I moved out of Silver Lake and kept this pharmacy because I liked it that much!

They are so great—super helpful & friendly. The difference between this place & chain pharmacies is so noticeable. One time I showed up just as someone was locking the door to leave. COVID had affected the hours that were posted online, so I thought the place was still open. Without my asking, the person who was leaving happily unlocked the door & got my Rx. They just did it to be nice. This place is the best!

I recently switched to this pharmacy, and I have to say that I am very pleased with the decision. Eric who works with me is amazing. He takes care of all my needs, is very polite, and is proactive with my medications. I take a bunch of different medications, so it is great to have him be on top of everything. If you're looking for a good pharmacy I'd recommend going here, and asking for Eric to help you.
