Odessa was so great to work with. Last week i gave birth to my daughter. My contractions started at 5am, I texted Odessa and almost immediately got a text back from her. She kept in communication with me the whole day, even when my partner and I headed to the hospital. As soon as I was 4cm dilated she came right to the hospital and stayed by my side through the whole process. She helped me breathe, she gave me ice chips, held me up and held my hand through contractions, and encouraged me through the whole birthing process even afterwards, praising me for a job well done. I was so glad to have her support through the whole birthing event. I had a wonderful experience with Doula Odessa. She was there to answer all of my questions and guide me and especially my husband through the birth of our daughter. I had a scheduled c-section and without her I would not of been prepared for my birth. She encapsulated my placenta and had it ready for me the next day. My OBGYN did not offer me many options and if I didn't have Doula Odessa I would have been clueless about what to ask. One of the best things about having her was I could call or text anytime. My milk supply is very healthy and robust, I have more than enough for my baby. And my internal healing accelerated as soon as I began these miracle capsules. After both births bleeding resolved quickly and I started feeling so much more like myself in a matter of days.

Where do I even start This was my second pregnancy and I learned about half way threw I learned a doula was a part of my care team and not my support team.I reached out on my Western mom connect group in Facebook and a lovely women messaged me with emails to different doulasAs I'm scrolling the list I see Doula Odessa and immediately knew who she was because I followed her on Facebook for a while and loved her work I reached out through email to find out she was accepting clients, that around my due date she was available. We immediately set up a zoom meeting where we talked about my first pregnancy and birth and right off the bat I knew I wanted her to be my doula We went through my birth plan and she answered any questions even if I repeated the question having pregnancy brain and taking care of a 2-year-old at the same time. She came to my house and talked me threw everything I needed to know about birth and postpartum careWhen August hit and with the hot summer we had she checked on me everyday if I had any questions she was always. There I always kept her informed with doctor's appointments and she always told me I support you know matter what you wanna do I thought my water broke or was leaking I called her up at 11:30pm picked up right away and directed me on what to do I was 40 weeks and I had my bloody show and we made a plan and she kept an eye on me. I started having contractions but I wasn't to sure if they were Braxton Hicks or not. So I called her I started timing them. I went to Bible study and she called me and told me to go home because I was in early labor. I got something to eat and I went to bed to rest as best I could. I called her about 2am saying I'm in discomfort and I wanna know how far along I am because my first pregnancy I went into the hospital at 8cm dilated I got to the hospital and was admitted I called her and kept her up to date I was 5cm and she came down to the hospital. My girlfriend and her talked to me and praised me with encouragement every time I got threw a contraction. She put chapstick on my lips gave me orange juice and water when needed I put a peanut ball between my legs laid on my side she was putting counter pressure on my feet as I breathe in my laughing gas By the time I knew it I was 10cm dilated without knowing it and I was in so much. She talked to me so calmly and told me my opinions on pain meds but it was to late I was already crowning and about to give birth my son naturally She was so calm while I was a freaking mess. My son was born and she stayed by my side. My son was token from me because he swallowed meconium. I was a mess looking back and forth. She talked me threw what they were doing. Encourage me to eat breakfast was such a wonderful person. She stayed until I was stitched up from a second degree tear. She even made sure my husband was okay because he almost passed out because he doesn't do good with medical things also advocated for him and made sure he ate and took care of himself My birthing experience this time around but so different from my first and it was all thanks to Odessa and my girlfriend and my husband After she left she texted me everyday making sure I was okay and how recovery was going she ended up coming over Monday and asked me how I was feeling and had any questions for her regarding my birth your postpartum care and even advise me to call my son's pediatrician to make sure there was nothing wrong because all he was doing was spitting up after his eatingsIf you are looking for a doula I highly recommend Odessa She such a loving wonderful encouraging person to work with and talk to I never thought I could have a natural unmedicated birth but with her there I was able to accomplish it even if I wasn't expecting
