I have been with Dr. Kurtz from Day 1 of his practice and I know I could never find a more caring and professional doctor in my entire life time. He was so good to my mom before she passed and now he is so good to me also. I trust him! I couldn't be happier knowing I have peace of mind with this truly amazing man! Dr. Kurtz is the best! He truly cares about his patients more than any doctor I've ever seen! God Bless Him!

Dr. Alan Kurtz had been my doctor for over 20 years.. he is the most reliable, caring man that actually listens and follows up with a phone call to see how you are doing .. Yes sometimes you have to wait.. but who doesn’t in a doctors office.. he takes time to see you as a patient not a $$$ sign like most doctors do.. I’ll continue to see him him until my last breathe in me. You go Dr. Kurtz!!

This is the worst doctor ever experienced. I am a copd/ipf patient and this doctor had no idea how to treat symptoms or conduct proper evaluation diagnoses while I was having a serious ongoing occurrences. This led to me going to emergency at serval urgent care center and to northridge emergency which identified Ls sclc a very aggressive cancer of the lung. This is something any qualified internal medicine PCP educated provider would have identified this as a possibly been in play and taken appropriate diagnosis evaluation. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone seeking medical care.

As a side note his staff are the most unprofessional for customer patient service with very arrogant attitudes towards patients and disrespectful when being asked questions.
I f I was managing the ones encountered I would clean house and start from beginning. This was such a terrible experience that may have caused delays in treatment for sclc as well as contributing to life cycle. I don’t feel they even deserve a 1 star.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH DR. KURTZ. For two years in a row Dr. Kurtz left my wife and I waiting in an exam room for 90 minutes past our appointment times. This time we finally had enough and left.

Unfortunately Dr. Kurtz doesn’t care very much about his patients. In terms of being in-house at the office, he is constantly in and out of the room and it just feels like he does not give you the time of day when you are there. I got a CT scan on a Friday…the results were faxed to his office on a Tuesday, and nobody reached out to me with these results. After calling multiple times to get this information, I finally got it on Thursday. I was told Dr.K would call me to read me the results of this scan and he never did. I called on Friday morning right when the office opened to leave a note so he would call me that day and read it before we go into a weekend…he never called me. I then call at 3:30 on said Friday (the office closes at 4:30) and the call goes straight to voicemail saying “the office is closed”. I then call the “emergency” line 3 times and still…NO CALL BACK! It is unfortunate that people take their business to a doctor who simply does not give the time of day to his patients. I also had a different test that was never sent to me despite them 100% having the information and me asking for it. Horrible all around.

They lost my blood sample, and then charged me for the blood test.

This is the most disorganized, apathetic, chaotic doctors offices I've ever seen. Expect to wait 1-2 hours after your appointment time to see the doctor. While you wait, you'll be entertained by the sassy administrative staff talking trash about their patients. You can then enjoy a thorough, 30 second examination from the doctor.

I was supposed to have bloodwork done here. They took my blood sample. After a month of waiting for results, they called and told me they lost my sample, and could I come in and have my blood taken again, for an additional fee. I declined. They then charged me full price for the bloodwork. Can't tell you how many phone calls it took to the very competent front desk staff to have to charge reduced.

If you are a patient here, good luck not dying.

If you're thinking about signing up, don't. Go to One Medical up the street. Its cheaper and so much better.

Best Doctor ever. He deserves 10 stars.I’m so lucky to find him. I have been his patient for the past two years. He is so caring, knowledgeable and always listen to your questions and concerns. His staff are the best and it’s not hard to schedule an appointment with him. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a kind, caring and knowledgeable doctor.

Dr. Kurtz always gets me in - even on short notice - if i am sick. He listens to my concerns and is willing to take a natural approach if appropriate, or an aggressive approach if necessary. He looks at the "big picture" and doesn't just see his patients as body parts. Yes, you may wait a little bit in the office or on the phone ...but that is the price you pay for having a doctor who listens to (and cares about) each patient! Additionally, he has a great Physicians' Assistant who is very accessible. I haven't had a go-to general practice Internist for a long time, and it feels great to have a "family doctor" whom I can call whenever I need something medical.
