I recently had to take a friend of mine there because he broke his ribs and weren't sure if it punctured anything. We got there at 4:00pm and we're taken to imaging quickly. But that was the extent of that. We remained sitting in the main emergency area for hours. When asked if we could get an update we were literally shooed with a hand. When one of the many employees decided to give us an answer it was they don't know, it's whenever the Dr decides to look at them (X-rays). Well that told us nothing. The nurses were steadily talking and laughing with one another. Some even flirting with each other the whole time I was there. It was ridiculous. I had to leave my friend there at about 7:30 pm so I could go home and tend to my children. I heard nothing from my friend who is also a diabetic with syncope, (he passes out) his blood pressure drops so low from an 80% blockage in his jugular vein. It was now 9:40 pm so I decided to call him. He said they moved him in a hallway and said he'd be close to a room. I asked him are they admitting you? He said he didn't know they didn't tell him anything so I decided to call. This was my second phone call to them, I called when I left at 7:30 hoping I would be able to talk to somebody more helpful but was just met with a rude short responsive I don't know arguing with me on the time of arrival and basically hung up the phone. But I decided to call back anyways and ask if he was being admitted.it's now 9:40 p.m. and again I get a rude person answering the phone asking me if I have my friend's phone number, which I responded of course I do she said then talk to him, I said I did but you guys didn't tell him anything and he doesn't know what's going on he just knows he's in a hallway with 10 other people. She proceeded to ask him if he has my phone number and rudely told him he needs to keep me updated and I could hear him say to her but I don't know what's going on. She said to me the doctor would have to talk to him and he'll have to call you back and basically hung up the phone on me. I think these people forget that we're people too and have lives at home and other things going on and need to know what's going on with our loved ones if they don't like their job they should pick a different one. My friend hasn't eaten since 4:00 he's got all kinds of medication he takes but these people could care less. Someone needs to do some real re-managing of their staff or at the least start paying attention to what your staff is doing and not doing. A little kindness goes a long way and isn't hard to do

The additional star is for the nurse on shift that clearly had empathy. As for the Doctor, my physical experiences were minimized. I feel like the attitude was “if you are going to waste my time, I’m going to waste yours.

If my symptoms were correct, I will be back to ask him to say “black woman, I believe you.” I know people come in with false claims all the time. However, I’m still sure he must follow the Principals of Medical Ethics. I also believe he was giving me false information. I’m not sure what happened to Eden. I had two C-Sections here, but I won’t be back. I’m going to the “ghetto”...”they treat me better.”

My husband had been here for the past 4 months, Icu, then the 4 floor, and we have been on the 6 floor. For the past months
I been having so much problems with the nurses supervisor I have complaining of the care my husband is getting here and instead of helping they act like it's my fault for complaining about his care.He can't talk unfortunately his bedridden .
I have left messages to the # I was provided to make a complaint. No one has called me back. And now, every time I come in, I don't know what will happen. I try to do as much as I can do on my on so he can be comfortable. 😌

Thank you all the staff in the emergency department, especially Peyton D., Matthew Parparian, and the CT scan in-charge. I received the best treatments in the first and right time. I thank God we have such a good health provider and team here in Castro Valley. Me and my family are proud of you all.
Your smiles are unforgettable and made me feel so calm during such worse body situations.

Lately, I feel like EdenHospital is my 2nd home! My Dr's office is in the lower area so it's pretty convenient for me. All staff personnel are exceptional here, from the folks in admitting to radiology to infusions. The guy who answers their room service meals is a delight to speak with. And everyone is smiling, must be a real good place to work at!

Update been here for hours went to see when I will be my seen a couple times last time I go up she tell me doctor is going to come talk to me and prescribe me some medicine without even being seen or knowing my symptoms because I didn't get to tell check in because they both just brushed it off my bp was a lil elevated than normally and no concern or anything just wanna give me meds straight bull shit they are going down hill and I hate it I really used to love this hospital and the stuff

I was in a scooter accident and got really hurt. I waited for 5.5 hours in the hallway and ended up leaving. Not one person came to talk to me during that time. I was in so much pain it was unbearable. Eden hospital used to be a good hospital, but not so much anymore. All the nurses if that's what you want to call them just sit around and talk about whatever drama is going on and don't care about doing their job. The triage nurse, x-ray guy and the one lady doctor was very personable, but I can't say much for the rest of them. I went back 3 times and now I'll never go there again. Each time got worse and worse.
