Even though I've moved from Castro Valley, I still come to this ER if I have to go. I cannot sing high enough praise for the staff. From start to finish, they are kind, friendly, personable, and diligent. They really care, no matter how busy they are. Give everyone a raise - they deserve it. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

I like Eden hospital and have been there many times in the past. Recently went into urgent care for wound care and because I’m a high risk patient, they sent me to the ER. Not going to lie, the front registration desk in the ER told us they had a lot of high risk patients there that night and the wait would be up to 6 hours was something I was not looking forward to. However, they seen me as risky for infection and be try immune compromised so they pushed me in fast. When I met the nurse, I immediately mentioned to him that I have poor veins, no matter what, if you think you’re going to get it you won’t. I requested an Ultrasound guided IV & my request was ignored. So then I showed the area on my upper chest area and said use this big bright green vein right here and he didn’t want to. He tried my arm after telling him I’d rather not and he missed. I told him I want someone else, he tried again and missed. I’ve had maybe 25 pokes and blown veins this whole month. In comes another nurse and I told him, “if you’re not confident in getting my IV, please give me an ultrasound IV.” His name was Scott and he went for the area on my chest the other nurse refused to do and got it fast. Everything else was great though. Eliminate that ordeal and we have a 5/5. To all medical staff: listen to your patients, we know our bodies more than you think you do. No scientific training is enough to make decisions, listening to patients and combining the two are.

If you have small veins like me and you want the best, ask for Scott. He will take care of you.

I arrived in the ER about 0930 am Saturday morning. Shortness of breath, beThe triage went well, blood work done. and I was taken to a holding room i then got a chest xray. I had undressed and put on a hospital gown and booties. Then I was advised that I was going back to the ER waiting room, due to construction 🚧. I sat there for another couple of hours. It is now 3:35. 6 hours later. Finally they come get me to talk to a doctor. A CT scan is scheduled with contrast. I'm again waiting in the hall way this time sitting in a gurney. There has to be a better way to process patients 🙌 🙏 THIS was putting the cart before the horse 🐎 I'm cold and still waiting. Hopefully they can get this finished and I can can go home and rest before dark, with some questions answered and some meds

The quality of this ER has gone down the drain the last few years. The lack of hygiene makes it concerning as well. The rooms should be clean before a new patient is admitted. The lack of urgency felt a bit disheartening, wish there was more communication and letting one know they haven’t forgotten about my father. Will be driving the extra distance to Washington next time an emergency happens.

I brought my aunt in yesterday to the ER. I was amazed at the quick service due to her condition. The entire staff were helpful and accommodating. I have never felt so well taken care of in an ER even though it was packed in there. Thank you all for your excellent service 👏

Going to the hospital can be an anxiety-producing event, in addition to whatever ailment brought you there. I have been to this medical center several times: as an inpatient, in the ER and in the medical offices next door to the hospital.

I was satisfied with each visit. The hospital staff is caring and attentive, both in the ER and on the medical floors. The medical offices are visually impressive. Customer service is great there. I am quickly checked in and see my doctor promptly.

Both the hospital and offices are wheelchair accessible and somewhat wheelchair friendly. Wheelchair users with upper body weakness or large wheelchairs might find the medical office examination rooms challenging. The exam rooms are small (for wheelchair users) and have sliding doors that some might find heavy and difficult to open.

Hopefully, I won’t need emergency or inpatient medical care any time soon, but if I do I know I will be well taken care of at Sutter Health Eden.

I’ve never been to a ER where symptoms go untreated wait several hours just to walk out with a prescription. I’ve been here 3 times and feel rushed out and get told it’s just “acid” or “heartburn”. Never have I had tests ran or bloodwork done here. Come to find out I’ve had a much more serious problem and required surgery when it could’ve possibly been prevented with my trips to the ER! Definitely won’t be coming back here ever again.

The security guards at Eden hospital emergency room were really nice, funny, and amazing. They make you feel welcomed and safe. They like to communicate and socialize with patients and overall make you feel better. Two security guards I specifically want to point out for their amazing work is Benjamin and Angel. They were very kind and talkative in the best way. They for sure made me feel better about my situation and they deserve a raise!
