Beware! This doctor sees my mom 2 times and deems her with dementia and needs 24hr care. My mom to this day makes her own breakfast, gets dressed on her own. Takes trash out and gets mail. How does a doctor come to that diagnosis without talking to the daughters. Which we would tell him that. My mom gets very nervous when going to doctors, so we know she's very confused at that time. At home, she takes care of herself and has many good days and some bad. Now my mom is in the hospital. Afraid and confused and because this doctor decided to write a letter stating she has dementia and needs 24hr care. My mom went to a lawyer and answered questions correctly. This doctor voided my health proxy and POA because of his letter
Please be careful. He makes a decision without asking what does my mom do on her own. Also he had the balls to tell me. I've never taken her to see him. I've taken her 3 times to see him. Since 2019 I've taken my mom to all her appts. Now I can't get any info, nor make any decisions. She's now in the hospital and they will have to send her to a nursing home. Instead of her own how. Again, she makes her coffee and something to eat everyday for breakfast. Gets dressed, bathes, brushes her teeth everyday. Even makes her own bed. Explain to me doc, how you can do that to someone by 2 office visits and not informing himself with what she is able to do!? When she's in her home..... Horrible, don't let this doctor write a letter without knowing your loved ones daily activities. Then your loved will be left without anyone able to make any decisions. He met me 3 times. Wonder who has the dementia!?
