Caution: Disappointing Experience with Edwina Skinner

My recent interaction with Edwina Skinner was unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons. It has profoundly shaken my trust in healthcare.

I sought her out because my primary care physician couldn't schedule an appointment for three months, and Edwina was available right away.

During the in-person visit, Edwina dominated the conversation, barely allowing me to speak. Whenever she did ask a question, which was rare, she would cut me off almost immediately. She comes off as extremely arrogant and made me feel unheard and dismissed.

The actual time she spent with me was roughly four and a half minutes, while the time I spent to get to the appointment and wait for her was well over an hour. Despite the short time she spent with me, she still billed my insurance over $515, leaving me with nearly $300 to pay out of pocket due to an unmet deductible.

The service provided did not justify the exorbitant cost, and I am now extremely hesitant to seek medical advice in the future.

I developed an issue that I felt needed medical attention. Dr. Skinner made time for an appointment to see me on the same day I needed to see her. My appointment was via Zoom. The doctor was professional, personable, and attentive to my concerns. She addressed my issues and encouraged me to call her back if the medications she ordered for me did not provide resolution of the issue. I would return to see her again, without hesitation.
