Gold Stars, A+, and Great respect for El Camino Health. We were consistently impressed with the high calibre of care and concern by ALL staff we encountered . Great Dr's, outstanding nurses. From Arrival to Departure Details re: post op care, protocols everything was superior. We are very familiar with UCSF - numerous family members surgeries there awhile ago...yes, impressed. Cannot emphasize how grateful we are to El Camino Health for impressive care.

This was our very first "visit" to ECH - and we were highly impressed and very grateful for such professional and attentive care. Every single Dr and Nurse were - no pun intended - off the charts. Very cordial and very smart. Everything was flawless and thorough. Loved the fact Dr Yao (sp ?) found me in the waiting room and gave me a post op update. He is a really Great Doctor. Glad to have been associated with him. Nurses were great.

I had shoulder surgery on January 8, 2025. I received such great care from the receptionist, the nurses, attendants, OT, xray techs and Doctors. The entire staff was very attentive, personable, and reassuring. Thanks to all, especially to Lily, Andrew, Wendy and Dr Iyengar.
I think of it as my surgical resort experience, kudos to all!

My wife and I recently had our baby here and it was the most amazing experience. We were nervous as this was our first one and the incredible nursing staff made the 4 days of transition into parenthood a life changing positive impact for us.

Eternally thankful for Nurses Ivis, Dana, Melissa, Susara, Arlene and Joy who went above and beyond to take care of my wife and the baby. During critical times of delivery the nurses were always there and helped us talking through the situation and easing tension. Post delivery the nursing team trained us like pros for a seamless transition.

I am so grateful for the care that I received from the nursing staff at El Camino Hospital. They made my childbirth experience a positive one for sure!

All of the staff are so friendly. The care is outstanding. Dr. Matthew Miller is an incredibly talented and caring doctor. Having a wing devoted to ortho is so helpful. Even the food is much better than the typical hospital!

Very disappointing experience. My son accidentally opened a laundry detergent pod, and some got into his eye. We cleaned him up as best we could, then decided to take him to the ER, following the instructions on the warning label. However, we waited almost two hours— from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.—without receiving any treatment. During this time, our toddler was starving and tired, needing a nap. In the end, we decided to leave without getting the care we came for and opted to continue cleaning him at home.

I understand that other patients may have more serious issues, though I doubt that was the case here because I didn’t see any other patients around. I could also see the nurses and doctor in their offices, which suggests there weren't many others needing urgent attention. What made the experience especially frustrating was that no one checked on us during those two hours. When my baby accidentally pressed a button, which made a noise, a nurse finally came in—but with a completely expressionless face. We came here for professional medical help, not to deal with someone's poor attitude toward their job or life.
We seek help, but we don’t beg for it. We deserve respect for our time and effort in being here.

The WORST ER - both nurse and ER doctor. Went in for clogged duct on September 27th, the doctor checked for infection, and completely forgot to provide any care on next steps; while I was waiting in pain. came in to give a shot of muscle relaxant and prescribe antibiotics. He gladly used a CPT code charging $7000 for negligence and poor care. I was in disbelief that this is the same hospital I delivered my baby 6 months ago - where I received phenomenal service and care from the L&D and Mother and Baby unit. Such a shame! Never coming here for ER service.

I called the billing department requesting to look into the CPT code and charges and the associate was rude, told me to directly file an appeal if I disagree with the charges. Needless to say, I will filing an appeal.

Rather than posting apologies and requesting patients to contact their customer care number (which is a joke because no one answers nor responds to calls), the hospital and leadership team should work on fixing the issue.
