I had a very good experience with Dr. John. I could not get an appointment at most other places and walk ins took too long. I am happy with Dr. John’s service here at El Monte urgent care. I was burning red hot from a fever, I’m glad he was able to diagnose that it was more viral than bacterial.

The facility is clean and new, but the doctor handled the situation poorly. The staff, however, were nice.

The short female Asian "doctor" was unwelcoming, and every time I asked her a question, she would sigh heavily and roll her eyes as if we were asking too many questions. She also kept her hand on the door the entire time. In the end, my questions and concerns went unanswered, and I was given vague responses, such as being told I needed to speak to a specialist.

Keep in mind, we had PPO insurance which we paid a little over $300+ and still had to pay out of pocket for our session.

I recommend going elsewhere if you need urgent care beyond your primary doctor office hours.

Such a great place! I was in and out so quickly. The staff, the receptionists, and the doctor, were all so friendly. I took my son here for the first time and I will definitely be going back!

Please if you go here make sure your insurance Except this Location because they will have you waiting for 30 minutes and tell you they do not accept it I seen 4 Patient today getting rejected some PAs are great, but today’s was one lazy PA Three hour wait without a heads up My question what time do you guys close 730 or eight because when I recall your last patient would be when 800 hit not 730 maybe management should fix your hours to 730

Went new years eve, it was empty. I went here because of the great reviews. I got seen fast. Dr. Gutierez was nice. Only issue was the medical assistant "Korina", right of the bat I got some weird vibes from her (weird attitude too). When she was going to take my blood I got nervous because she seemed nervous. She poked me in both arms a couple times to find a vein. I never had an issue nurses taking blood from my arm. I dont think shes ever taken out blood before. Finally, Dr. Gutierez came and took my blood with no issue. Now I have both arms bruised and it seems like some nerves got poked. Becareful with Korina.

I have had to come here a few times now because of various things from severe flu to terrible muscle spasms. Each time they have been super curious, quick, and helpful. I found them because I had to call around to see where I could get medical care with my LA Care HMO plan and thankfully they took it. The copay is very reasonable at $15 with my insurance (I overheard it's $150 without insurance which is incredibly low compared to other places I have been). Double check with the team though if you don't have insurance :)! The urgent care from the doctors to the nurses to the receptionists are incredibly kind and have a great bedside manner.

Let's start with I've been there 5 times already, and each time, I've been in and out quickly and had excellent care all around. You usually see different providers, but each one I've seen has been excellent. They take the time to hear you and answer questions.
My wife had an incident when she went, but they reached out and apologized.
It's really great that we have an amazing urgent care in El Monte.
