I don’t know what’s going on with this county in the Environmental department but so far it's Been terrible!! Been waiting well past the 10 business days for my septic inspection and I have called everyday for over 2 weeks and I get transferred to them and never get phone answered and if they do answer they give me a run around of “they will contact you, we don’t know any information or when and don’t know who” or leave a message and get no call backs from anyone and I can’t get anyone out here to certify this work was done to get our septic system put in! What the heck!!!!!!
We paid $550 to get perk test done a month ago and the health department has dropped the ball big time on us. Very disappointed!!!

I seriously cannot believe how rude some of the employees are here. I am in nursing school so I am learning about the Holistic and Therapeutic approaches that nurses should take when interviewing or assessing patients. Well let’s just say the nurse that had my interview either 1) had a bad day or 2) hates her job and needs to quit. She was the most blunt, cold, judge mental, and rude nurse I have ever met.
When you sit down with someone to ask about symptoms or changes with their bodies that they are experiencing no one should ever make it out like it is a burden or as though you are an inconvenience... It is your job. I had an appointment at 2:30... I left at 4:30. This is an injustice to women and. To the community. I lived in Montana and Utah and they had Planned Parenthood’s and I would be in and out in no time. The staff were always sweet and facilitated that open communication between patients and nurses. I love how people who have never had service from Planned Parenthood have so many opinions about it but have never actually received services from an establishment.
If I had insurance I can promise I wouldn’t come back. Even when i was 18 it was never this bad. And honestly it wasn’t everyone they do have some very sweet very nice employees it was just that nurse I couldn’t stand.

Absolutely love this place!!! When I was a child in the early 70’s, the health department was such a grim place and of course, no one looks forward to vaccinations, but the Elmore County Health Department’s employees were very kind and attentive, made the dreaded “jab” almost enjoyable. Definitely a great group of nurturing people ❤️❤️❤️❤️

First time visiting Elmore Health department for my covid vaccine. Every person there was amazing, helpful, concerned, and caring. It was such a pleasure to spend some time with their caliber of employees. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you ECHD employees for making my experience a good one.

I've never had any problem, I've been here 3 times. I think one of the ladies at the front was kind of rude one time, but hey, we've all had a bad day at work before. Didn't have a problem getting my son Medicaid, also the clinic has always taken good care of me.

If you're okay with going on site and not depending on the phone then I would say that they are pretty good. I love Nurse Carol. She's been around these parts for some time. I even made a donation for my services when I left.

THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE! I LITERALLY MEAN NEVER! IVE CALLED 30 TIMES TODAY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FROM TWO DIFFERENT PHONE AND NO ANSWER WHAT SO EVER! EVERYONE SHOULD DEFINITELY USE PRATTVILLES HEALTH DEPARTMENT BECAUSE WETUMPKA IS JUST PLAIN OUT LAZY!!!!!
