Sadly, not the experience we were hoping for. The first interventionist who was sent to us, an OT, was more interested in asking how much things around our house cost (appalling behavior) and complained about how far off the highway we lived. She was NEVER on time and could not stick to a schedule. When she did come she would complain about the area we live in and tell us we should think about moving at some point because it’s so far from the highway. We just moved into our home two years ago and absolutely love it AND the area. The second interventionist who was sent to us, a PT, “diagnosed” our son with a condition he does not have. She made him do stretches by forcefully pushing his head and shoulders against the ground while he screamed the entire time as he was extremely uncomfortable. After telling her two separate pediatricians told us he does NOT have the condition she self-diagnosed him with and to stop the “stretches” immediately, she continued to do them at our final meeting. We decided it was best to remove our son from this service as we felt we were not being heard and it could potentially do more harm than good to our now 7 month old son. It’s terrifying when someone is playing doctor with your child and doesn’t listen when you tell them to stop. We removed our son from the program and two weeks later received a voicemail saying a NEW interventionist had been assigned to us. Clearly the internal communication is lacking and the overall program is a mess. Such a shame. We do not recommend.
