It appears that my review was taken down. Attached a picture of my original review. The hospital did not address my main concern. So I would like the hospital to address why they never responded to my request of the failure to investigate why on the night of my fathers passing they decided to not release my fathers body to Sv. Gora funeral home because the hospital made a mistake and wanted to donate my dads skin and eyes WITHOUT OUR APPROVAL. Its been 5 months and no one has addressed this.
I am very concerned about this. I come from a line of first responders but this is beyond unacceptable. Please investigate and provide my mom and I an update. The community also needs to know of our experience.

This hospital has gone downhill tremendously over the last 15 years. It used to be a great hospital with focus on patients and healthcare now this place just cares about your insurance card. I was in excruciating pain due to having a large kidney stone. The front desk check in staff couldn’t have cared less about me, I came up to them a few times asking for assistance and the waiting area was not even packed and they couldn’t care less. I had to wait 40 minutes before I was seen and that was only due to my mom having to speak to them AGAIN. I felt like I was about to pass out. Horrible patient service.

I will be there in a couple minutes. That’s hospital talk for an hour. Let’s let my 90 year old mother sit in pee. No one to help her with up to eat her meal. I couldn’t move her by myself. Horrible conditions. I actually had a nurse tell us that my mom rang her bell too many times and that she was too busy because she had five other patients to take care of. The buzzer went off on its own and she was yelling at us. It’s ridiculous.

I wrote a review a few months back regarding the experience we had with my father who was fighting terminal cancer. We received a phone call from the representative on the basis of my original review and they advised they would look into it.
2 major concerns:
1. The night of my fathers passing when we came home, Sv. Gora Funeral Home called us advising the hospital is not releasing my dads body BECAUSE they were waiting to donate his skin and eyes.
DONATE? My brother and I rushed to call them and put a STOP this. They made a mistake. A mistake that is unacceptable.
2. The way that the intern priest handled the situation after the passing our my dad by not handling the situation at all.

The response from the hospital in a letter to us was addressing only number 2 which we already knew. That night they told us they should have never sent an intern priest without supervision. However, no investigation on the MAJOR MISTAKE of wanting to donate my dads skin and eyes without our permission and he was never on a donor list. I love our first responders and come from a line of them but this is unacceptable. Everyone please be careful so this does not happen to you guys and your loved ones. 🥺 We have been completely ignored and obviously they did not address or investigate why and who decided to donate my dads skin and eyes.
Scary and unacceptable.

Hey, would like to thank for helping some way staff is considerate. Love options for dinner like chicken, fruits, potatoes (regular), salads, and vegetables (hummus). Hope can add water bottles to menu. With medications have to be cautious and identify if need? Should consider 3-5 days release days for good behaviors. Just wish caseworkers, doctors, and nurses had more free time. Group and individual sessions do help with fun in fresh air. Options like music (art) group and canine comfort are cool! Rooms can be warmer and individually occupied. Appreciate the aftercare arrangement(s). Please make billing more affordable can do! Wish the best sincerely!

Northwest Community Hospital has been used by my family for over 50 years. The recent things I have to say are that the ER is fabulous. There is sometimes a wait but I’m fully aware it’s because of triage. I came in with a bad cut on my wrist and actually had it zip tied to stop the bleeding. The wait room was full but they took me right in.
I get plasma monthly & the Ambulatory Infusion unit is the best ever. Every single one of those nurses knows their job to excess, are great at it, and are some of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met. If I could, I would give every single one of them a daisy award. Iwona is my absolute favorite. I’ve gotten iron infusions, antibiotic infusions due to MRSA twice, and have been getting plasma for 8 years. They always get me on the first stick.
The hospital stole my primary care physician which I was not happy about because she was the best doctor I’ve ever had. Dr. Claire Urbaszewski is a rock star.
Now I would’ve given ya’ll 5 stars but I am really unhappy about the kitchen menu.
Originally I loved coming for my infusions because of the lunch being so good. You had changed it. It was awful. I started just saying no to the menu. Then you changed it back. I was really happy again & looking forward to healthy lunches again. Now it’s the worst menu ever. I tried it a couple of times. It’s disgusting. Yesterday I got a turkey and cheese sandwich that smelled bad and was even brown. The cottage cheese tasted spoiled and I didn’t get the drinks I ordered, or the dessert, and the plastic utensils are ridiculous. They aren’t even decent ones, they bend when you use them. That is my only complaint. Eating lunch there at least once a month for so many years kind of makes me an expert. I went from being excited to get a nutritional tasty meal to just giving the menu back to the receptionist and saying “no thanks”. Apparently I’m not the only one doing that either.
Kindest regards, Vicki L.

Hello, I can't help but share my bad experience with doctors. I was brought to the hospital by ambulance, I felt very bad, I was suffocating from coughing, I was admitted with a fever. No complaints about the paramedics, the guys are great! But what next... And then from the gurney, they transferred me to a chair and moved me to the general corridor, where it was very cold. I was in a sleeveless T-shirt and thin sweatpants, they gave me a thin blanket and left me sitting in the lobby of the emergency room. I was shivering, I felt very bad and the cough simply did not let me get air. So I sat there for a little over 2 hours!!! Is this normal? We pay such money for calling an ambulance, if a person calls an ambulance, it means that he is very bad and transportation by another vehicle is not possible. And it does not matter? It turns out that if you feel very bad or you cut your hand, it is the same thing? Then more, but on the day of admission, I was lucky with the nurses, it was 02/13/2025, all the Marias worked, but they were of course very attentive, thank you very much to them for everything! There are no questions about nutrition, everything is normal, as far as possible. Well, the device that is intended for the intravenous system, constantly made a heartbreaking sound, from which the nerves were simply at the limit, and this continued for 2 days, around the clock, what kind of rest is there for the patient, on the contrary, no sleep, because the device turns out to be very sensitive and makes a sound, even if you look at it incorrectly. Thanks to the doctor for the appointment, but they discharged me home with a temperature and still with a cough, although they could have treated me for a few more days, so that I could already be convinced that you feel better, but it is not for me to decide. It is very offensive, for such money 💰 and such service...

I have had 3 visits for 3 different people in my family in the last month. We didn't have to wait for any of our appointments. If your appointment is at 7:15am, they are ready for you at that exact time. Staff is kind, friendly, and more than happy to explain procedures.
