I received outstanding care at my appointment yesterday. I saw Elicia Hinton & she was wonderful. She came in & actually had a conversation with me before getting my labs done & I felt like she really cared and wanted to get to know me as a patient. Her med student Felicia was also great & very easy to talk to, as well as her medical assistant. I am always nervous to go to doctors offices, but every single person I talked to made me feel comfortable, even the front desk girls.

The phlebotomist on staff who helped me was AMAZING!!!! I didn’t get her name, but Equality Care Center is so lucky to have her. She went above & beyond to make me feel safe in a situation that was very uncomfortable for me. So thankful for all the amazing ladies I met during my visit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a negative experience. I've been reading some of the reviews and I have experienced all of those issues myself as well. I have been with this clinic for many many years I agree that the customer service has gone way downhill the management has gone way down hill and I am actually thinking of switching clinics because of the slack attention to the things I need: no current health information on the patient portal, my referrals, my appointments, medication refills, Etc.
I had an appointment in office and my cab was already on its way when they called me. I did not call them. They told me that they were switching it to a phone appointment. So I cancelled my cab and tried to respond to the phone appointment and for some reason it was not working with the portal. So I called the office back again and was given a lot of attitude by the receptionist and told that they no longer do phone appointments that I had to come to the office! She gave me so much attitude that I did not appreciate nor deserve as they had called me to change it . By then the cab had already showed up anyway and I had to tell them it was canceled, and then a few days later when it was time to refill my Gabapentin I had issues with the doctor trying to refill it she tried to deny my refill when we had just recently discussed increasing the dosage now all of a sudden she didn't want to refill it at all. I do agree that they are kind and caring when you are there in the office but that doesn't mean anything when you run out of your pain medication before you can get the doctor to fill it almost every single month. I am up to here with the attitude on the phone which is so uncalled for and for the monthly struggle to get my refills on most of my meds. ?

Pretty disorganized place. My appointments were always about an hour later than scheduled, and every single appointment I’ve made has been rescheduled 1-2 times before they finally got me in. One of my appointments was cancelled an hour beforehand- I had already taken time off for it. I’m unsure why they never know when their providers are actually available, but I am not dealing with it any longer and would recommend others don’t either. Not a lot of positives from this place, except when my appointments did hold up I got the care I requested and the NP I had was very nice. So sort of the minimum I suppose.

Listen to all of the many negative reviews. If you value your health go elsewhere. I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Constant medication refill issues. Dr. Victor straight up lies about things that actually weren’t said or done. Which leads me to contacting my insurance to go over the charges this clinic has made to make sure they are legit. Never really got any good care from this clinic.

I scheduled an appointment online. Received numerous text messages about the appointment and registered online. The day of the appointment I was told they were not accepting new patients.
Do not waste your time, please find yourself a real doctor!

Horrible place!!!! Very incompetent, inconsistent, and careless. Your health will not be teken care seriously or timely, no matter how many times you call and go in for a appointment. Always given the run around and promises are never kept or acknowledged. Very substandard.

I’ve been with YNHC for almost 5 years. In the span of these 5 years, 2 of my PCP’s left without any warning. It started with Constance Tucker then I switched to Melissa Morrison after Dr. Tucker had left. This November 2018, Melissa Morrison left with no warning and I switched over to Barbara Cortwright. The fact that so many PCP’s have left in a short amount of time, with no warning has left me wondering if conflicts with management and higher up’s has been an issue. The quality of understanding and care for patients has rapidly declined. What use to be a 15 to 20 min wait in the waiting room WITH an appointment has turned into more than an hour wait for myself. When I went in last week for a virus that had lasted me more than 2 weeks and with severe chest pain beginning in my right upper quadrant, I was referred to get X-rayed by Barbara. I was referred on a Friday and took the X-ray on a Monday. The SimonMed said they would electronically send in the results the same day. I called in Tuesday to find out my results as my chest pain was getting more severe only for them not to answer. I left a voicemail asking for them to return my call regarding the results. I never got a phone call back the same day. Wednesday came and I waited for a phone call. I figured they were busy and just needed time. After waiting for hours on a call back, I decided to call in. I spoke to Martha, the phone receptionist and she told me the doctor had not looked at the results, yet. She told me she would send a message to the doctor to get back to me ASAP. I never got a phone call back that same day. It is now Thursday, and I did not receive a phone call back this morning. I called in & spoke to Martha again, all to be given a slight attitude towards my frustration & told be told that they had not received my lab results. After I was told yesterday that they received them but Barbara (the doctor) had not read them yet. Which one is it? I was upset. I was venting to Martha about my frustration but could sense a bit of attitude. I told Martha that I could sense the bit of attitude from her and if the shoe had been on her foot or a loved ones foot, she would be just as frustrated as me. She also told the director of YNHC called me twice, as I wanted to speak to him regarding the service I’ve been receiving, yet I received no voicemail from him so I could get back to him. My frustration is the lack of professionalism from front staff during frustrations from patients, the time consumption regarding patients health and the wait times. When you go back to see the doctor. They are kind and and understanding. I will give them that, but the follow up regarding the patients health is awful. I am now on my way to ER with this chest pain to finally get answers as my own PCP has made it incredibly difficult and time consuming to get any information regarding my health. If you value your health and those of your loved ones avoid this place until management can get everything together. I am looking to switch PCP’s and possibly filing a complaint to the medical board regarding this practice if I get diagnosed with something serious about my chest pain. Please do better, YNHC.

We have been unable to get in contact with this Healthcare clinic. They called to tell us we were Covid positive and they would call us bc we need to be retested. We call time after time unable to talk to anyone unable to leave a message. Their phone system is pointless if nobody answers calls. How can you call yourself a Healthcare office when patients can't get through to talk to anyone. Your follow up procedure clearly isn't working for you. Terrible customer service terrible patient care. We are trying to do our follow up care so we can return to work but this office can't do their part and communicate properly with the individuals who need their help the most.
