From the initial assessment to the final discharge was nothing short of amazing! Having gone through a tuff experience prior with a residential home we were very nervous about having to take this route again. Our daughter had the most supportive therapist and the house staff were so encouraging. Evolve includes the family very closely. Although our daughter resided there our entire family benefited from the sessions, the learned tools, the support with communication. Since coming home she has done a complete 180 and enjoys life these days. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVOLVE to any family who truly wants their child to have a safe, effective, supportive home environment to heal at.

hi! So, I have been to Evolve Treatment Centers on two occasions. Once, when I was 14, I went to Lafayette, had a wonderful time, and got the help I needed. The staff was amazing, and I felt super supported and cared for. Now the second time I got sent to Evolve Danville was inlate December. I had a HORRIBLE experience, and I really do believe it just made me worse. I wasth about two staff members. I still think about those two staff members at least once a week. They wrote me letters of goodbye and overall taught me things that I'm forever grateful for, so thank you for that. But every single other staff member I came in contact with was just god awful. like November- only "close" wiTE being there. I did not appreciate how uptight they were. bro, why am I getting in trouble for being disregulated BECAUSE of the staff and just overall environment? Do not get me started on the program dir They made me HAector; she was the Worst therapist I have ever met. I guess one positive thing is the food. Fantastic chef! Bt overall DO NOT send your child to Evolve.

I went Here from late December to mid February and it was an ok experience, there is a lot of reasons on why I gave it a low rating though.
1. the psychiatrist. There was a psychiatrist that we all saw weekly, it was over zoom and most appointments only lasted 5 mins where they asked you basic questions that they probably could of just looked at the notes for. She was also very unhelpful and would tell kids who struggle with restrictive eating disorders to eat less.
2. Staff. A lot of the time it was one staff to 6 kids and sometimes no one would show up and the therapists would have to watch us, there would multiple staff who would scream and the kids over minor inconveniences, and there was so much miscommunication between staff.
3. Sleeping situations. I am a trasgender man and they would exclusively room me with female clients when there were options where my roommate could be male or i could have a solo room, they kept rooming me with females and it made my dysphoria so bad to the point i slept in the hallway floor for over a week and i only went back into the room because it was causing my back to be in constant pain and they were starting to take away any extra blankets and all my stuffed animals
4. clients. a lot of the clients there were very rude and would do things that bordered on bullying, they would often scream, we had to spend hours in the garage because a client was having a breakdown downstairs, when i first got there the window was broken because someone broke it.
5. Therapists. My therapist was quite unhelpful and would talk about things that i didn’t want to talk about or not talk about things i wanted to talk about, she would ignore a lot of my worries and was just sorta annoying.

so yea theres more but these were the main 5 things, it was not that good of an experience but did at least somewhat stabilize me

This place made promises of a high end treatment facility with healthy activities. Outdoorsy active options.
My son was here for almost 3 weeks and all they did was play Disney movies for 16 year olds. There were other kids in here with severe mental health issues and were highly
Medicated into zombies. There were violent kids who broke windows and other things. There were cutters cutting themselves violently in front of my son. My son didn't have severe mental issues. He had anxiety and was numbing with light substances. Kids in his house were hallucinating constantly, violent and absolutely unsound. They did very few activities and kept them in isolation most of the time. The pool has weeds growing out of it. Balls floating in it. With caution tape around the gate. This was more like a haunted house. My son has PTSD from his experience there. We pulled him out early. The staff was more interested in medicating my son and having him sit in a chair all day listening to suicidal confessions. Not the place for my son. I wish we never sent him here. He is worse now. They kept our money. Even though we were very unsatisfied. It’s a racket. No help for my son there. Only more trauma. Do not send your kid here.

I can’t even start to explain how amazing this place was. They were so supportive every step of the way, and I made such amazing connections with the staff that really helped me with my past experiences with therapists who were horrible to me. They helped me be able to trust staff members again and I can’t thank them enough.

They are extremely thoughtful, and take everybody’s experiences and triggers into account on what we say and do. They were very receptive to feedback, and I have actively seen modifications to things when someone/the group was uncomfortable or upset with something.

All in all, I genuinely did enjoy this placement very much, of course It was hard challenging things, AND that’s how it is every treatment center. They helped me get back on my feet, and actually helped me feel cared for and supported at discharge, something that surprisingly doesn’t happen at most places I’ve been to.

Thank you to all of the amazing staff members. I will never forget how you guys have impacted my life.

this place truly is magical, i was there a little longer than a year ago, and i know a couple of the reviewers. the staff and people there are such a good support system, especially for someone going through what (most of us) did. i'm so glad to say i was a part of this. i've been to a couple psych wards and residential places, but god, nothing tops this. i'm so glad that i met the people i did, especially when i did. i was so scared, and immediately they provided me with hospitality. this review is more about the people i met, rather than the facility itself, but it has helped me on my sobriety on so many levels, and i can't thank the people i met enough. thank you so much. (p.s. is chunky hot chocolate still a thing i hope !)

amazing. i loved it here so much, staff made me feel like i was part of a real family. my therapist here helped me so much. i came out of here a whole new person. beautiful property too. 10/10 recommend, i cried upon release because i loved it here so much that i didn't want to leave.
