This place is really slow. Don’t expect urgent care. Even with empty lobby, you have to wait 1 hour. Then they show you the room. Wait another 30 min in room for doctor. If you need urgent care or a quick check up go somewhere else.

We had a very frustrating experience with the Exer Care team in Calabasas. My son had a deep wound and needed stitches. His hand was sown up and he was sent home with no further instructions. 2 days later we had to go back as the wound was very infected. It was a Sunday. There was a rude and defensive nurse who said he should have taken antibiotics. He had not been told about the antibiotics when he had had his hand sewn up. We then found out the pharmacy where the prescription had been sent was shut. The same nurse first said it was too much trouble to get the prescription moved to another pharmacy. She finally did it after she had seen another patient. Clearly this was a miscommunication but the attitude of the nurse was unkind and unnecessary.

This is by far the best urgent care I have ever been too. Katrina at the front is the sweetest and most compassionate person. She is incredibly patient and answered all my questions. Jose and the two male nurses (Rigo( here are wonderful as well. Dr. Khanlou is the most empathetic and knowledgeable physician I have ever encountered. He took care of my problem, made sure I was comfortable and spent so much time with me (which is something rare in an urgent care). The facility is clean and staff is AMAZING!

I arrived a few minutes after they open and they weren’t. A clueless and careless front desk employee said there’s nobody here to see you. She did not know when or if this person would arrive.
It’s very simple. If you want a professional urgent care facility DO NOT GO HERE.

Very good experience with Exer in calabasas. Their technicians, nurses are very professional, courteous and they truly care about you. Dr. Long is a great doctor. He spends time with you and tries to explain everything to you with a lot of patience until you fully understand the situation. I highly recommend this place for your urgent medical care need.
