Very poor medical care.I was in the emergency room for 5 1/2
hours with an IV. Asked for water . They said yes. Never got any. Buzzed for a nurse and they never showed up.Had tests and just lay there for hours waiting for information.No wonder the rating is a 3.1. This is a shame.It used to be a good hospital, but the care is hit or miss. They are negligent

This is an excellently managed hospital. Patient registration and inquiries are handled courteously. Patient care and documentation are thorough, with prompt delivery of test results/diagnosis and recommendations. I am highly satisfied with this hospital.

For four years I told my own doctors about abdominal pain and a few other symptoms that concerned me. I was ignored, told to lose weight, it was just anxiety, or it was just menopause. I had abdominal pain last October and decided to go to Falmouth ER instead of the one up the street from my house. I FINALLY got a doctor that thoroughly looked to see what was going on. Dr. Michael O'Connell did a CT scan, saw something concerning, and ordered an ultrasound. I was referred to Dr. Paul Demeo, who was also very thorough and kind. I had uterine cancer, an 8cm tumor that had started to spread into the lining of my uterus. I am grateful that I chose that ER that day. In February, Dr. Colleen Feltmate did a complete hysterectomy and I am now cancer free. I am grateful to all of them, for listening, for treating me with respect and kindness, for saving my life. I was off getting testing in the ER, so my friend made someone to hold my spot. We learned not to leave her alone with medical gloves and markers. haha

I have lived in Falmouth most of my life and one thing that made Falmouth great was its Hospital. Unfortunately, during Covid Cape Cod healthcare pushed out a lot of experienced nurses and doctors. It really shows in the quality of medical care now.

I had to take my mother to the ER and the doctor spend 2 minutes with us. If it wasn’t for me advocating for her, they would have sent her home to die. I finally convinced them she needed to stay. Then when she was on the floor, I asked the case manager about what they thought about her mouth cancer? They said “she is in here for her heart and dehydration!” What! Her mouth cancer is the cause of the dehydration! The whole experience was just terrible. The doctors were always in a rush, they would overwhelm her with information and she could not reply because of her cancer. they would not speak to her Legal Healthcare proxy, they wanted to push her out and into Hospice. But i advocated for her to go to a great rehabilitation center.

When we got her to the new Facility , I found out she had green infected bed sores from the Falmouth hospital stay. The hospital staff never told me that she had an infection and open wound on her bottom.
The rehabilitation center got their doctor to look at it, he came up with a treatment plan and put her on an air mattress that moves, so the pressure isn’t on the same spots. The staff is great and my mother is doing great now.

I have been a patient three times since September and have been very happy with the care provided by my Doctors (Rumrill and Brake) and the third floor nurses , especially Mary, Caroline, bother Cristina’s and Alyssa. Housekeeping and Food Services were also great. I have no complaints.

If I was to have been shot I would’ve already bled out they don’t care for there patients they just want to get in and out they got me sitting on a bed in the back lobby not in a room or anything and they’re saying there gonna have me leave I don’t feel good how are you supposed to tell me how I feel

I went to visit my friend in the ER last month. I spent the day with him. Everyone, the person at reception, as well as the nurses I spoke with were all kind and helpful. He had a mental health emergency and was waiting to be transferred to another facility, so I can't review about any medical care there. I did feel he was in a pleasant, caring safe environment in the ER that day.

Dr.Neel was very thorough, knowledgeable, great bedside manner along with his very efficient office staff. After surgery Gessie my nurse was very attentive and friendly..A good experience overall
