I’m writing this review to share my experience with Dr. Rachel Marcantonio, who dismissed my children from her practice simply because they were not vaccinated. Nearly six years later, I have two more healthy, unvaccinated children—now under the care of a practice that genuinely prioritizes their well-being, not quotas.

I will never forget the letter she sent, demanding that my children be fully vaccinated within 30 days or be removed from her care. This is not the mark of a doctor who upholds the Hippocratic Oath, which is meant to guide physicians in providing ethical and compassionate care. Instead of respecting parental choice and individual health needs, she chose to exclude patients who didn’t conform to her policies.

A doctor’s first duty should be to care for their patients, not to enforce rigid mandates. I’m grateful to have found a practice that values my children’s health, not just their vaccination status.

A family member recently became a patient of Dr. Lowney Jr., and unfortunately, the experience has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. From the very first appointment, it was clear that this office is poorly managed and lacks efficiency.

The initial visit was essentially just a meet-and-greet—no exam, no tests, just a brief conversation. We then had to schedule a separate appointment just to have a basic exam done, which felt like an unnecessary delay. Even worse, they didn’t order blood work ahead of time, so when he returned for his follow-up, there were no results to discuss. What’s the point of a follow-up if the doctor doesn’t even have the information needed to assess your health?

On top of that, the level of care seems completely impersonal. While in the exam room, Dr. Lowney Jr was overheard in the next room repeating almost word-for-word the same spiel to another patient. It was clear that he was just cycling through the same generic script rather than providing truly individualized care.

To make matters worse, when having a serious allergic reaction to a medication Dr. Lowney Jr. prescribed, the office failed to respond in a timely manner. Despite calling multiple times and being in clear distress, we were told we would receive a callback—which never came. .

Between the lack of personalized attention, the disorganization, and the unresponsiveness to a serious medical concern, I cannot recommend this office. If you’re looking for a doctor who actually takes the time to listen, follow up, and provide thoughtful, individualized care, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere.

If I Could Give 0 Stars, I Would

I’m writing this review on behalf of my father because he would never leave one himself.

My father recently started seeing Dr. Lowney Jr., and his experience has been nothing short of frustrating and deeply concerning. He has had multiple visits (3-4), and each time has been disappointing in some way. However, his most recent experience is truly unbelievable.

After being prescribed an antibiotic, he developed a severe full-body allergic reaction—hives from head to toe, swollen-shut eyes, and unbearable itching. Naturally, he called Dr. Lowney’s office for guidance and was told they would call him back. Two days passed with no response.

When he followed up, he was simply told that the message had been sent to Dr. Lowney Jr. and that he would get back to him when he had a chance. This is outrageous—an allergic reaction to medication is a serious medical issue that requires immediate attention, not a callback whenever it’s convenient.

By day three of his reaction, my father had a previously scheduled new patient appointment with a specialist for an unrelated issue. The specialist was horrified at his condition and immediately attempted to contact Dr. Lowney’s office—only to find that the office was closed at 10 AM on a Friday.

As someone who manages a medical practice myself, I find this completely unacceptable and appalling. A primary care doctor should be accessible and responsive—especially when a patient is suffering from a potentially dangerous reaction. The complete lack of urgency, follow-up, and basic responsibility displayed here is beyond disappointing; it is outright negligent.

I would never recommend this office to anyone, as you will not receive even the most basic of competent or responsible medical care.

Because I work in Healthcare. If you know medical jargon or know the culture in a medical setting. You will understand what I mean by this, "very low standards" and it's not specific. It's general. Because I am aware now of what goes on. I am considering another doctor who is stuck on the vows he/she sworn in as a medical professional. I dont want to end in an early grave because of low standards and neglect. I see it happen on the daily! I wish them the best of luck! My advice, take good care of yourself.

They are really disorganized. The office hours listed online must be incorrect because I’ve called, multiple times, during those business hours, to get an automated message that office is currently closed.
Leaving messages with the front desk means nothing. There are never any “notes In their system” and you have to call repeatedly to get paperwork faxed.
I really don’t understand how, in a town with multiple schools, none of the fax numbers for any of those schools are in their database.
We don’t have to deal with them often, but every year, any time the school needs any kind of record we know it’s going to be a headache.

Had an appointment on 6/20/24 waited in a room 45 minutes, finally left without seeing Jr. When ask if I was all set by the front desk, told them to have Jr call me when he has time for me... Friday has approached and I have not heard from the office at all..HELLO what has health care come to. Thank you Stuart Healthcare.

People in this place don’t have any clue what they are doing! Billed me wrongly, keeps on sending me mails after mails. The billing department threatened to blacklist me when I tried to reach them and asked me bill properly via insurance. The office never picks up there phone for appointments, even if they do they are in a rush and never listen.

I just got off the phone with Susan! When I say, I have never been spoken to so rudely, especially when I’m trying to make a new patient appointment. I don’t even want to make a new patient appointment with them anymore due to her unprofessional attitude. You’re better off going somewhere else.
