Peace Health is a cartoon.
800 people waiting on a waiting list for primary care. Ortho treated me like a big baby for 8 days and told me my knee injury was a little contusion. I had an unnecessary invasive procedure where they stuffed a large bite needle into my knee. After 8 days of literally begging for help I called 911 from the front of the hospital, went to the ER and guess what my knee is fractured!!!! No wonder that needle hurt so bad. I was given 10 Percocet and ortho had REFUSED to provide any pain control after that. I’ve got LOTS more to say. Stay tuned.

I just moved here from Seattle in June and needed medical attention for my back. I went to the ER and my experience was awesome! Dr Lenny was very thoughtful and concerned about what was going on with my issue and was ready to send me to Bellingham if I needed to go. Thankfully he spoke with a neurologist and came up with a plan. My nurse Nichole is great and she deserves a big raise ? Chris did my MRI and he was very patient and kind with this clostraphobic sissy. Big shout out to Patti and Travis also ?! This team is the best I've ever encountered in an ER! Thanks so much for the kind words and care of all of them! Donna

Personally I’ve have 5 births along with prenatal care at this facility. For my first birth the whole experience was traumatic. The nurses were telling me I was wrong about my water breaking, along with talking over me, saying rude things about my family in FRONT of me. Also having a nurse tell me that the way I spelled my sons name was wrong. Now my sons birth certificate with feet prints from the hospital has a different spelling then his legal certificate. Along with the doctor yelling at me and the nurses attitude it was my worst experience there. Dr. Cranfield also didn’t treat the infection I had at the time. 4 months after I’m admitted for the infection that wasn’t treated even tho they knew about it before. With the rest of my deliveries they weren’t awful. Or had anything bad cause I was told about my choices.

The other altercations I had with this hospital had to do with the women's clinic. Personally have had bad experiences with Patricia Thornton on multiple occasions. Our first experience she tried to force me to have a birth control I didn’t want, when I got upset she tried to blame my significant other. Reluctantly gave me a different one. From that point on the vibe and just feeling of the room was never safe or even felt like she remotely wanted to listen to me.
At one point I had them put in my paperwork that I didn’t want to see her again. But because she’s the only midwife I kept getting scheduled with her and wouldn’t know it until it’s too late.
The 2nd worse experience I had with her was when I asked to get my birth control removed. She asked me questions about my personal life and how my relationships were. I personally felt it wasn’t her business. She continued to tell me that “we were close enough, she could tell me that I shouldn’t get it removed.” At the time it was causing me pain which was an issue with this birth control. She would play it down and would act like there wasn’t a problem. Which made it feel like she was listening. When I finally got her to remove it, she was forceful and rude. Once she removed it she just had one word responses.
This hospital really needs to step up there customer service in these departments. There isn’t many places for us to chose in this community and we shouldn’t have to reach out to another doctor off island because of the experiences at our own community hospital. We should want to come here not be filled with anxiety or worried about the way we are gonna be treated.

Worst e.r. ever unless you want to be judged and have rude nurses that roll their eyes at your life threatening problems....Not all of them but quite a few I've seen over the years won't take you seriously.. I've been turned away multiple times..
