I couldn't be more pleased with the care I've received over the years from First Choice Medical. Dr. Goldman is a physician you can truly trust with your health—extremely knowledgeable and experienced, he's seen just about everything.

Years ago, I suffered from a very rare disease. I had troubling symptoms, but despite multiple visits, the doctors at Stony Brook couldn’t determine what was wrong. When I finally saw Dr. Goldman, he carefully assessed my symptoms and suspected an extremely rare, life-threatening disorder. To rule it out, he immediately ordered the necessary tests so that by the time I met with my specialist, I would already have the results in hand.

Dr. Goldman's proactive thinking saved me valuable time. As soon as my specialist reviewed the test results, my condition was confirmed, and I was able to move forward with the surgery I urgently needed. I can’t express how grateful I am for Dr. Goldman’s expertise and quick action.

Additionally, I highly recommend Dr. Maria A. She has also been an exceptional provider who genuinely cares and assures you that after you leave the clinic, you are not forgotten. A simple call or email is all it takes to receive the support you need, and their response time is truly impressive—no exaggeration.

Dr. Goldman and the PAs are wonderful. The reception staff needs polishing, especially one nasty one, who told me to go sit down and wait, after I was already waiting 1/2 hour for my 8:45am appointment, which at 9:17am I was still in waiting room. Can’t make a complaint to Dr. Goldman directly because Office Manager handles and “spoke” to the staff about this incident. In my opinion, this girl needs to be fired not spoken to.
Needless to say, I will be changing my primary care doctor. I will not be treated badly by anyone much less a provider’s staff.

The doctors and nursing staff 11/10 great medical staff! The front desk worker with grey/brown hair sitting to the right. Denied taking me because I did not receive my insurance card in the mail yet and had an electronic insurance card. I emailed it to her and it says it went through and she lied and said it didn’t. She ignored me half the time and began to yell my information across the room with other patients in the waiting room. Then said I can’t be seen. Very very rude.

One last bad experience at First Choice Medical office. I’ve been a patient for over 15 yrs and went there for a post surgical appointment. The front desk told me I had a balance of 60.00 from a missed appointment and could not be seen by the doctor without payment. I explained I just had surgery, did not have my card on me and got a ride to the appointment by someone. They said we are sorry we can not see you until payment is made. After 15 years and no payment issues, a surgical visit an exception should have been made. I made an appointment at a new practice and will not continue a doctor/ patient relationship with an office who has no care or concerns about their patients. $60.00!

Have been an urgent Care visitor for 10 years when my PCP is not available. Today I was turned away unless I changed my doctor to the practice physician. I was told that it's been a 10-year oversight that my PCP is not a member of the practice. Seriously?
