I had my very first acupuncture session with Joie. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about acupuncture but I am SO afraid of needles that I’ve been putting it off. I met Joie a few months back and heard her speak about the work she does and I was very intrigued by her expertise and mix of both western and eastern medicine training. I felt like I could really trust her and she could really help me. During the session, I felt like I was in such good hands and put full faith in her work. And the needles weren’t even a big deal! She also put ear seeds in my ears. I left there feeling blissed out and since, I already feel the positive effects of acupuncture and it’s been helping me with things that have been so hard for me to overcome. Joie really knows her craft. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend Joie.

My therapist Joy is amazing! She listens to my needs before the session and works hard to see that all my requests are met during our time together. She takes time to explain different muscles and how tension builds up in them. To take it one step further, she really paid attention to details that other therapists haven't for me. Joie Jacala, EAMP, LAc is truly the best acupuncturist I have known. I advise to mark the experiences of your first appointment with Joie. Note the before, during, and after a treatment what you feels, see, taste, all senses that is different.
I believe Joie intuitively opens up your Chi energy that is an internal 'Yes'...that can be used to guide like a compass. Tuning into this 'Yes Compass' has helped me stop sabotaging my healing and recovery.
