I read all the negative reviews. It’s so close to my house I decided to try them out.

My eye exam went smoothly. The staff was great. Although I was promised two weeks, I got mine in 3. But perfectly understandable since new years was in the middle of the week.

Overall, I highly recommend this business.

forced us to stay with threat of charging $195 to leave after failing to disclose prior to appt that exam is done remotely. Exams are not done by dr in person here so if this is a deal breaker for you do not go there. Both my children that were receiving exams are autistic and require a little extra care during exams which is why I wanted to leave and find an in person provider. Took our prescriptions after it took 2 hrs of being there when it should have been 1 hr max and my youngest son was having a very hard time. Will not be ordering glasses through them. I recommend that this business practice better transparency with their customers if they would like to avoid them having bad experiences. Thank you.

Update to response from owner: your response is very misleading. I was at your location in Calimesa and was told in person visits were not available at that location. When I called to make the appt via phone and not online I was not informed that the visit would not be in person with a doctor. I was told this when we showed up in office and was told by your front office staff that someone should have told me this. Either way it is irrelevant. I was not given the option to leave when I was informed with out paying a hefty fee after clearly someone failed to disclose important information. If calls are recorded then you can verify that this information was not given. Either way I will not be returning to any of your locations with my family. An appropriate response would have been to say I’m sorry there was a miscommunication we can reschedule you at a location with in person doctor or we will wave broken appt fees. This is called customer service. Thank you.

Worst place to go they give you a date to call and get your glasses and don't actually have the glasses at all they keep on changing the date for everything they're really rude too. I do not recommend coming here for glasses at all. They told me to call in two weeks that theyll be there it's been 5 weeks so far and they still don't have my glasses.

Came to pick up glasses for my son. Calimesa office has new hours of operation posted the window of the front door, effective October. Today, Fri Oct. 4th 9am-4pm. Well it's 10:25am and the front door is locked. Thanks for waisting my time!

They never answer the phone. Appointments are done remotely and they dont clearly state that anywhere but in bad reviews. They charge $165 if you dont cancel your appointment yet they never answer the phone.

The front desk staff on July 9 were super helpful. They got me in early. My appointment was at 430 and I was done with my other appointment and I was local and they got me in at 3 pm. They got me in did the full examination. The Digital assistant is nice. Dr. V is on the screen and manages from her end the exam. Super cool technology I love this. I had the best experience . Thank you Focus Vision.

This is regarding the calimesa office only. I had my eye exam and picked out my frames at this office. Unfortunately, when they came in, the measurements were wrong and they had to re-do them. Since I had a driver's license renewal coming up, I asked if they could put a rush on them. So then the run-around and the lying began. First they said they had to get authorization from my insurance, which they didn't. I called my insurance and they said if it was a mistake they made, that was between them and their lab. Then they said I had to come in to make sure the prescription was right. No problem. They got me in quickly. So I asked again about the rush, and they said yes. It would take about 5 days. So 7 working days later, I had not heard anything about the glasses. They could not tell me anything, and again said they had to get authorization from my insurance and that only the director could call the lab. They said they would call me back. They never did. 4 days later I called them again. Still no info on the status. Still had to get authorization from my insurance, and still had to get the director to call, but she wouldn't be in until the next day. In the meantime, I checked with my insurance again, and again they verified that no authorization was needed. And if it was, they hadn't requested it. And then I found out that the director was in fact working that day. So, I actually got to talk to her myself and it turned out that the hold up was because the frames were lost. At this point I am 4 days away from my driver's license expiring because I will not pass the vision test without my glasses. She was very nice, understanding, and accommodating. My issue with the calimesa office is that they did nothing to check on the status of my glasses. If they had made one phone call when I first called them, they would have know the issue was with the frames being lost and a more timely solution might have been found. However, my biggest concern was with the lying and the run around. They wasted my time. At my age, I don't have much of it left. There is absolutely no excuse for that. All I wanted to know was the status of my glasses, and it took a phone call to the director to get that. I won't give up on Focus Vision, but I will never do business with the calimesa office again.
