I was referred to Dr Heywood by my sister. Come to find out 3 of my siblings have had there surgeries by him. I met with Dr Heywood about a year ago for my hip and shoulder. He’s very detailed, explained everything so I was well informed. He answered all of my questions. I highly recommend him and his office, and so does my family.

*UPDATE*

After angry emails and bad reviews, their scheduling department did reach out to apologize and reschedule my surgery. I appreciate the prompt response.

*THIS COMPLAINT IS STRICTLY AGAINST THE SCHEDULER*

Avoid here if you don't want your orthopedic surgery to be postponed a week before the surgery date without any prior notice.

To be fair and clear, I have not done the surgery yet so this review is not against any of the medical staff. So far I am overall satisfied with the medical care quality. However, the lack of transparency, care and professionalism from the scheduling team is outrageous.

I had excruciating pain from my worn shoulder, and I was surprised and ecstatic that, after surgery, my pain was completely gone! After some therapy I am on my way to recovery , as good as new. Now I want the other side replaced asap. Doc Heywood has a professional manner tempered with real understanding of the pain you are in, and takes time to explain procedures and expectations!

My first and only visit to an orthopedic specialist was here at Golden State Orthopedic. From the moment I made an appointment to the time I first walked into thier offices/clinic in Capitola to actually meeting with Dr Heywood it has been absolutely satisfying. Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable about their specific job not to mention the fact that Dr Heywood is a remarkable Dr. He spoke to me in a manner that was very comfortable and with such compassion. He really eased any fear and apprehension I had. Great place to go and great Drs there. Thank you Dr Heywood and staff for be so professional.

Dr Abidi is great! A great orthopedic physician AND is personable and he cares.
I had a bad ankle injury and his office was able to get me an appointment within days and then further evaluation with imaging within a week. This helped me get the care I needed right away.
I also loved the orth urgent care in Los Gatos.
I highly recommend Dr Abidi. He is exceptional.

I was so comfortable with Dr. H from the moment I met him. I have been to many Ortho doctors in the past and for the 1st time, I have completely felt that I could trust his advice. Dr. Mensch has treated my wrists. Two different falls. The first fall resulted in two surgeries. He did the second one. Wow what a difference. The X-rays showed a precise repair. His assistants are kind and helpful. The surgery center is updated.
