This is my review for my experience during the recovery process in my admitted room after my necessary gallbladder removal surgery. While places like a hospital are seen in a negative light, due to the high stress situation, I enjoyed my stay in my room. I received excellent care from the total of 8 to 9 registered nurses who tended to my pain, and encouraged me to get better. All things are a process and I couldn’t have wanted to get sick. However, to be put in the path of such amazing personable professionals who over-extended empathy and compassion to me was such a blessing. The best mindset is what the staff at Good Samaritan provided me. Any Hospital can give you medication, and can patch you up, and get you on your way. However, the true experience is when it changes your viewpoint on life and you remember the great nurses (RUE, I am talking about you) who helped you more than was required and expected. From the stare to the end I felt welcome; I wasn't there very long when the receiving desk took me in; she was awesome; she handed me off to the person who walked me to the prepping area; from there it got better; the team in the procedure room they were also awesome; I had a great experience with the team while I was awake. Later when I was waking up I recognize the head nurse Carrie she is one of my daughters friends that was a very nice surprise; the recovery nurses were exceedingly awesome. The whole team there is great; I will recommend Good Samaritan Hospital to everyone. What a team!!!

Admitted for leg pain for the fourth time in six months. Blood work and imagining completed. Fracture in foot and swelling. I could have told this hospital this. Sent me home again with a couple of pain pills. I can not walk and lay awake for hours in pain. How does this help? Doctors are three to six months out, that is why I went to the ER. No follow up or recommendations. Im sure I will have a huge bill with nothing accomplished.

My time in the cardiac unit was as pleasant as possible. Care was well coordinated between doctors and nurses. Even housekeeping folks offered to help! One nurse, Elvira, welcomed me warmly, remembering me from a previous visit, and Yuchin even brought warm compresses for my eyes until she could get doctor's permission to give pain pills!

The moment I walked into the ER I was met with caring nurses. I have never seen a doctor in the triage before and so quickly, it was wonderful. I am grateful to all of the nurses and the doctor for assessing my situation and finding a solution so fast. The follow up was a special surprise. I got not one but two calls to be sure I was okay and if I had any follow up questions. That was wonderful.

Outstanding service. The staff in the surgery prep area (Chris and Lilly) were wonderful. Professional yet personal. OR nurses were also very professional and friendly. Same for the recovery room. Overall I received excellent care.

We spent six hours at good Sam ER the other day.
The staff there is extraordinary and every single individual we met
( from the guard at the entry, to the nurses and Drs) was caring, professional, compassionate, and really, really bright.
The waiting room was unusual. There was a guy sitting in the corner. Heavyset, wearing black stretch pants taking up three chairs… I think he was just resting there for a few hours… But he walked around like he worked there and availed himself to the purple gloves that the nurses use and walked around…He made some odd comments to me about my scarf, my shoes and something else.
The real takeaway: The Good Sam staff- consistently - were top notch. Their kindnesses, care and knowledge were impressive.
