Granite VNA goes above and beyond what is a privilege. I can't begin to thank Cindy and Suzanne (Nurse and PT) for the aid they rendered. The agency should be very proud of the staff we met, at least. They are the "Cream of the Crop". Thank and bless you.

This organization is the most disorganized, inefficient, and incompetent.

Two days after being released from the hospital for stroke (bleeding in the brain), they rush in to visit the disabled veteran patient without first verifying authorization and insurance coverage. They not only wasted the patient’s time but also gave him false hope and added to his frustration; they ended up leaving a patient who lives alone and needed home care.

After the correct insurance issued the proper authorization, we reached out to make an appointment and the intake specialist was incompetent to troubleshoot appointment issue. We’re then transferred to talk to a supervisor, who was not available. After making numerous calls to reach someone who was intelligent enough to sort out the issues, we’re told someone going to call us.

Here we are 4 days later (2.5 weeks after the patient was released) no callback/no appointment.

We’re hoping we can find another VNA services that are more compassionate, capable, competent, responsive and reliable so he can receive proper care that he needs.

I for one was never told that I was getting VNA in the first place. But when I found out this lady named Laura was coming to see me while I was pregnant, trying to tell me I needed to change MY birth plan and how I wasn't allowed to be working when at the time I was able to. Then on top of that saying she was going to be coming out a certain day that I said I was free and then blew off both of the days and called days later claiming she was coming out as which my response was no you're not due to me telling her I had work. Then after birth she was coming in at first because my baby weighed little but then she was trying to tell me and my boyfriend that we needed to be giving our baby all these vitamins that our doctor never told us about as well as telling us we needed to force feed our baby and it's our fault our baby wasn't gaining weight when he was little to begin with and insisted on her coming out 2 days later and argued up and down hill with me because I told her no as which it clearly wasn't needed and she didn't need to come everyday. She never called ahead of time, she'd call 20 minutes before she wanted to come out early in the morning and then if I didn't answer blow up my phone and my mothers phone. She also tried to call DCYF all because we didn't let her in our house. Clearly this Laura lady should be fired claiming she knows more then a doctor. Very sad and pathetic lady. Worst experience ever and such a disrespectful "nurse". Wouldn't even have given this a star if I wasn't able to. I'd give that Laura idiot -50 stars.

The 'nurses' here make a job out of harassing parents and families for no good reason. One in particular named Laura is extra over the top and shouldn't have a job. This lady's idea of scheduling an at home visit is calling and saying I will be at your house in 20 minutes, this was not once but a regular occurrence. The nurses here like to play doctor and give their idea of medical advice even if it goes against what the real doctor they work with says. Once a patient is discharged from this service they are then harassed by the vna nurse. In our case we were discharged almost a week ago yet the nurse called multiple times a day, even to other family members and continues to make threats in order to get what she wants. VNA nurse Laura should be fired for belittle patients for no good reason. Our time with her made us feel like idiots and bad parents but our time with the real doctor taking care of our baby made us realize the real power tripping idiot was Laura.

The nurses and aides visiting the home are generally fantastic--no complaint at all about their professionalism and level of service. However the scheduling department is HORRENDOUS. They often 'forget' to call you for schedule changes, often don't return calls when something happens to the schedule (no shows, late shows, vacation or call out issues), and cannot seem to plan ahead for holiday, or vacation coverage--which sadly leaves the client without needed services.

You'll never know when they're coming, until at least 2 hours before they want to show up, which has been very inconvenient trying to schedule other appointments. If you do have other appointments scheduled when they want to come, they'll tell you they'll schedule for another day, and then not call again at all. Don't tell me that you don't know your schedule ahead of time. It's been more than 30 days and I've only had pt twice because of this nonsense. The ot therapist they sent was rude and condescending, therefore I opted to not have ot. The nurses I'm lucky if they spend 5 minutes with me, only to be told they will do something, and it never happens. I will be talking with my insurance company regarding payment. If there was an option for no stars, that's what I would've chosen.

If I could give 0 stars I would but in all fairness, it was about 11 years ago, over a 6 year period. I've been in the health care field for over 25 years. I'm sure they still have the same nursing and hospice guidelines in place. The treatment I saw within those years was unacceptable. I will not get into the specifics but it has deeply affected me all these years because I grew very fond of my clients during that 6 year period.
