I gave birth here a week ago and all the nurses and doctors were absolutely amazing. I ended up having a c-section and Dr.Prigg did a fantastic job explaining everything to me. All the nurses were fantastic. Starting with Karen who was my first nurse there and was with me during the C-section. She was so sweet and calmed me down throughout the entire process. The lactation specialist Louise was also wonderful. Breastfeeding is so daunting but she helped me out so so much.

A week after I went to the ER because I was having chest tightness. Again, our experience was really good. Going to the ER was a newborn is not for the faint of heart, but they were so nice and tried to accommodate us as much as possible so I could feed the baby etc. They did extensive testing and afterwards ARNP Emily Costello went through the results with me and was so so kind.

Overall, we had a great experience at Viera Hospital.

I want to thank everyone at HF Viera starting with registration Lady when we first walked into the ER. I brought my sister in because she was very sick and she has stage 4 lung cancer. The lady in registration was so sweet and the triage nurse was very kind as well. This was on 1/27/25 at 2:30 in the afternoon. We had to wait a bit to go back because they were so busy. When we got back there unfortunately we were in the hallway but the staff was amazing Dr Montgomery, was quick to see my sister and start ordering test. Natalie her nurse was so busy but also so attentive, so sweet and she was working her butt off! The guy who used the ultrasound machine to get IV started was amazing unfortunately I don’t remember his name but he was very nice too. Once we found out her diagnosis she was admitted we then got a room in the ER until a bed came available. Her new nurse Christina I believe her name was, also amazing. Then the next afternoon she was moved to PCU her nurse Jen also great! Transport guy my very kind and caring too. All I can say is the care my sister received was amazing even though they were so busy! All the doctors were very helpful and kept me informed of her condition. Keep up the great work and thank you for being so kind and caring to my sister and us!

Had outpatient procedure and was impressed with the friendliness, professionalism and cleanliness of Viera Hospital. I've had previous experiences with a family member both with the ED, and their ICU unit, and have always been very pleased with the hospital, staff and care provided. The ED or what I refer to as ER, is always efficient and quick to provide diagnosis and care. After many X-rays, scans and labs I'm impressed they almost always return results within a reasonable time frame. After 13 yrs of caring for a parent I remain very pleased with Viera Hoapital and their staff and care.

A relative was sent away with a low oxygen level in the ER. The relative has been there several times in the past few years and they've always been admitted with same symptoms. This time they were sent home with very bad symptoms and could have easily gone into cardiac arrest. The next day they went back to ER and were admitted. That 1st night in the Er/ICU they fell out of bed. This is an extremely high fall risk elderly patient with many illnesses and issues. Still weeks later not one person could tell me if they did an X-ray or cat scan to see if anything was wrong. This hospital is so negligent and lax on proper medical care, no one should fall out of bed under their care. This patient should have had a sitter. But someone dropped the ball big time this visit. The relative has been complaining about pain from day #1 after release. 2 Stars only because overall the nurses and doctors are pleasant, or else this would be a 1 star review.

Only giving two stars because my past experiences with doctors and nurses have been great. However, tonight there was only a few people in the ER. The triage nurse Rose was very rude and didn’t seem to take my symptoms seriously. I felt so sick I ended up falling asleep on one of the chairs in an empty waiting room. She then told me she needed to take my vitals again (id been waiting in an empty waiting room for hours now) then wait for someone to be sent up upstairs before I can get a bed. I don’t mind waiting for more serious cases before me. But to be waiting in an empty waiting room when there is nobody else while I am sick is ridiculous. This has never happened before. Care here has always been prompt, urgent, and compassionate. What I experienced was the opposite of that. She judged me, asked me the same questions, and didn’t care about my comfort. We ended up leaving before she could take me back because I was so fed up. I have had nothing but good experiences here so this was extremely disappointing. I don’t plan to come back after my experience with Rose. I will choose another hospital from now on.

This comes kind of late and my apologies for that. Back in November of 2024, Had shoulder surgery with Dr. Brent Stephens. He and the whole staff were absolutely wonderful. They guided me thru the whole process step by step and thru my recovery. Just want to say thank you especially Dr. Stephens!

I had hip replacement surgery last week. From the check-in, preparation, surgery, recovery and one night stay, everyone did their part in a thorough, professional and kind manner. My pain was well/managed and explained to me and my husband. Even the meals and snacks were good! I felt very safe and cared for.

Recently, I had hip replacement surgery at Viera Hospital and my experiences there were 5-star all the way. From check-in, to prep, surgery, recovery, overnight stay, meals and check out - the doctors, nurses, and staff all did their upmost for my medical care and comfort. Should it become necessary, I would not hesitate being admitted to Viera Hospital, or recommending it to others.

What a blessing to have such a quality hospital in our community! Thank you Health First and your professional team at Viera Hospital.
