The Emergency Department is being run like an OUTPATIENT facility. I recommend going elsewhere if you FEEL your symptoms and/ or pain is life threatening.
Check-in was relatively quick. However, the one thing the receptionist and nurse NEVER asked is, " What is your level of pain on a scale?"
This important question should be standard protocol for the emergency Department with respect to triage based on URGENCY.
Eskanazi was where I ended up going, and they actually were better prepared than this hospital.
I was told by the receptionist they were short staffed, and only 2 nurses were working the floor.
Well, this was irrelevant since the problem didn't pertain to meeting the demand, just with prioritizing the emergency department with respect to urgent care.
I would highly recommend that the nurses and staff who work in the Emergency Department are trained on these matters.

First shift group is amazing. Night shift experience would be negative stars if it was for day shift. Above and beyond 5 stars with kindness, efficiency, and compassion in a timely manner. Don't go there between 7 pm and 7 am, as the place will be empty. It's empty during night shift for a reason, and it's the staff, not lack of patients. 5 stars+ day shift, -5 fir the night shift.

Went to Avon IU urgent care for a long term cough. No tests were run and was prescribed an antibiotic. The antibiotic trigger an allergic reaction (not IUs fault, we didn’t know). The Avon location sent us to the Brownsburg IU urgent care location because the are too busy to take patients after 5pm due to their 3 hour wait times.
Brownsburg didn’t even see me, they sent me to Hendricks Regonal Health ER because my breathing wasn’t good. The did no tests of any sort (not even swabs for flu/covid) and barely did a physical exam. The doctor told me he didn’t feel comfortable prescribing me anything and sent me home.
Called my PCP at St Francis and was told to go to their ER. They did a very through evaluation and had me to a breathing treatment that tasted awful, but it let me breathe again! I was also prescribed both a steroid and an inhaler. 10/10 recommend St Francis. Patient care is top notch!

URGENT CARE VS EMERGENCY ROOM (they are night and day)
I recently chopped off the side of my finger with a mandolin and went to the ER here. I received top tier care and had an excellent experience. Staff was very helpful, professional - Dr. Collins stitched me up and Dr. Havis removed the stitches 14 days later. They are exceptional ER physicians and I knew I was in the best hands.
I was ORIGINALLY instructed to get the stitches removed after 14 days at an urgent care or my PCP (15 miles away from me), so I went down the hallway to the nearby Urgent Care 14 days later to have them removed (in the same building as the ER).
This is where the nightmare began.
Being that urgent care was 10 steps away from the emergency room, I expected the same professional service. I was extremely wrong.
I will say that my stitches were very tight (this was due to the fact that they had to close the gaping hole on my thumb). I had four stitches and the nurse continuously dug the scissors in my skin on my thumb to try to get to the thread and then could not cut it. When she finally did, I was nearly yelping. I told her I needed a second and apologized for being in distress and taking up time. I wasn’t screaming or moving, but I was obviously in distress and in lots of pain.
The nurse became very aggravated and had the nastiest attitude. While I was trying to gather my wits to get the second stitch removed, she was rolling her eyes and checking her watch.
I asked her if it was possible to take 5 minutes, but she proceeded to tell me they needed the room and this wasn’t supposed to take this long.
After different nurses came in and examined the tightness of my stitches, and looked at the oozing gash on my finger, they proceeded to act like it was no big deal. I told them I really would benefit from a digital numbing shot (lidocaine) and they said they couldn’t give me that and if I went to the ER, they would say the same thing.
It got to the point where I had to muster up the courage and strength to advocate for myself and make the decision to leave and go next door to the ER anyway ON TOP of the fact that I was in so much pain. I really wanted to avoid being dramatic and leaving, but they left me no other choice.
My experience in the ER was superb. Not only did they offer to give me the shot, but the doctor was very personable and patient and told me he could remove the stitches with a scalpel rather than tugging and pulling at the threads with scissors. He did it in about 10 seconds with a positive disposition and it wasn’t nearly as painful.
He was amazing. The nurses were amazing. The ER was great.
However, I would never recommend this urgent care to anyone. I would 100x over recommend the ER when it applies.

Every time I visit this hospital, I receive terrible service, and I’ve decided I won’t be coming back. The staff here are unprofessional and provide subpar care, especially if you’re African American. My family and I live in Brownsburg, but we would rather go to any other hospital than return to this one.
During my recent visit, Dr. Dru Sappington was not only condescending and rude but also made insensitive remarks about my pain levels and even my race. When I tried to voice my concerns about the lack of adequate care, he dismissed my complaints, going so far as to threaten to stop treating me because of my “attitude.”
Experiencing this kind of treatment was not only physically painful but also emotionally distressing. It felt discriminatory, and unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve encountered such treatment at this hospital.

I was a traveller from Chicago who stopped by early Sunday due to excruciating stomach pain which turned out to be pancreatitis as explained by the doctors. They heard me out and gave me some treatment for the pancreatitis. They gave like 5 different medications, and then I was admitted shortly.
This is the best hospital staff that I ever had in my life, from the nurses, to the doctors and the chef. My pain from pancreatitis was gone, I got to chill, watch some football on Sunday and Monday, rest take my medications and on the last day was able to eat solid food before being discharged. Most importantly the pain that I came in with was no more. I thank you all everyone so much.

Otis, Their front desk Person the person that supposed to help people is extremely rude. This is not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with this place
For instance, I’m on the phone with him trying to get my daughters appointment set up because she is very sick. I paused for a second to find some information and I hear him say “oh my God”
Im sorry But hes supposed to be there to help people, but he is one impatient and two definitely doesn’t respect people. Why would you want to bring yourself or your kids to a place like this?

Just had the most dismissive, inhumane treatment of my life in this ER. Despite not being busy, the staff was unprofessional and lacked any compassion. The nurses were rude and lacked seemingly basic patient care knowledge. Never saw a doctor, despite being an asthmatic with a known respiratory infection. I was assessed for 2 mins, thrown in a room with no monitoring of any kind, not even a call button. Then after 30 minutes of no one even checkin on me my husband stuck his head out, there were 4 nurses sitting there on there playing on their phones. Finally one came over and acted like how dare he wonder about his wife’s care. Drive to Avon or Indy if you can, the extra minutes literally are worth possibly your life.
