If I could give their current office management zero stars, I would. They never billed me for my son’s visits, nor did they call me to let me know there was a balance. They added “rebilling” and other fees to increase the amount owed, and then turned the account over to a collection agent. The doctor my son originally saw there was great, but he left the practice. He actually took interest in my son’s mental health needs and talked to him, recommended different things and counseled him. The next doctor my son had was a prescription writer, period. There were no recommendations for counseling or anything else, just pill-pushing. They do not take Medicaid, and many people in need of mental health care are on Medicaid, including young adults who may not have jobs that provide them with good options for mental health insurance coverage. They want $120 per visit just to sign a prescription and meet with a patient for 5 minutes. I used to recommend them to others, but I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone now. Their office staff used to be consistent, organized and friendly, but that changed a few years ago. Every time we went there were new people in the office, and no one answered or returned calls or messages anymore. They’ve become greedy and disorganized, and it’s sad, because they used to be a great organization.

Pro:
✅ Office is very responsive. They have patients text in requests which is very convenient.
✅ Dr. Borders is absolutely incredible. First Dr to give me a list of helpful books to read before just writing a prescription and seeing me back in 6-8 weeks.

Con:
❌ The online portal is not user friendly. It also doesn’t allow you to set up payments for larger bills. You must pay off your bills before you can see the doctor again.

❌ I met with two other psychiatrists at the Plainfield and Danville offices before meeting with Dr. Borders and it was night and day of a difference. 🌚⭐️🌙/☀️🙌🏻

I am a new patient. The providers are great and I want to make sure that is highlighted as that is the most important part. However, the office staff is disorganized and not patient focused. It took them 6 days for them to submit a prior authorization for medication I needed. They still haven’t submitted my visit to insurance but yet continue to ask me to pay my bill. Additionally, they randomly cancelled my appointment because I didn’t pay a deposit of 65 dollars even though I asked for the link several times. My patience is wearing out with this office staff and they make it difficult to be a patient. It is super disappointing considering it took me a couple years to make the commitment to see a therapist. Just super disappointed and shocked by it all.
