I accompanymy husband to his visits for which he is being treated for skin cancer. Dr. Hines is knowledgeable, caring and her treatment plan has been effective. I've seen some other reviews that greatly disparage her and her staff.
We've only had positive encounters with her and those working in her office. I highly recommend her especially for her skills and pleasant demeanor. I can't understand the negative reviews that have been posted. I'm an RN and keep a sharp lookout for faults in medical professionals. I don't find any here.

The 3 stars is for the nurse who paid attention to my concerns, and allergy to petroleum/petrolatum/Vaseline. I am highly allergic.
Dr. Hines enters and demands to know why I want to be seen...as I tried to explain my dermatology history she was very dismissive. I didn't even get to explain about my sun sensitivity and how it affects my daily living.
She looks at my rash/outbreak and suggests she do a biopsy. I allowed it but then she prescribed me with a steroid cream WITH petroleum as an ingredient. I over heard her discussing treatment with the nurse who was paying attention and she kept mentioning topic creams that had petroleum and the nurse denied those requests.

I expected my experience to had been better with being specialist in the field but the care was tailored to my symptoms and not tailored to me as an individual.

You don’t have to live in fear of your skin. Dr Hines and her attentive and kind staff will set your mind at ease with; decades of experience and matter of fact manner in which she addresses potential health threats and hindrances is refreshing and time efficient.
I’ll put all my skin in the game for Dr Hines and her team- It’s a safe bet towards good health management

Dr. Hines definitely has a stick up her behind. Her attitude sucks. Maybe it’s time to retire my friend, she clearly doesn’t like her job she lack professionalism. Based off the way she talks you can tell she doesn’t care so with that being said I don’t recommend. I won’t be returning.

I sought help for my facial skin issues because I was unsure of my skin type and needed guidance on how to heal my acne and discoloration. I was hoping to find someone compassionate and knowledgeable who could help me understand what my skin needed. Unfortunately, this doctor completely caught me off guard. She stated she didn’t know what I needed (in a manner that came across as dismissive and ignorant) and seemed to expect me to have diagnosed myself before even coming to her practice.

When I explained that using an oil cleanser had ruined my skin and caused breakouts, she interrupted me, saying that was “cosmetic” and that she didn’t know anything about that. This left me extremely confused, she’s a dermatologist, so she should be familiar with the types of facial cleansers that work for different skin types but - then about 10 mins after when I brought the oil cleanser up again she said that’ll ruin and clog your pores ( so she did know about them she’s just extremely lazy) . In that moment, I felt she lacked both empathy and professionalism. She seemed more focused on rushing me out the door than actually helping me. Working at the dmv would be more fitting for her for sure.

I’m extremely disappointed by this experience, but I’m grateful she’s not the only dermatologist in Massachusetts, if she were, that would be incredibly concerning

Dr. Hines treat patient not professionally. She is not honest to the patient. Be careful, when you see her for a treatment. It is rear to see a doctor like her. Based on her behavior, she should not be a doctor.
