After touring some awful facilities, I found Holden Rehab and Skilled Nursing and it was beautiful. As soon as you walk in it’s bright, clean and smells good. They had a suite available for my mother’s hospice care and it was an immediate yes. Spotless, big, quiet, with windows, a TV, a stand up closet, and a big bathroom. MOST of the staff was amazing. The food looked decent. I took 1 star off for the couple staff members (RN/ CNA’s) who showed little to no compassion, who would walk in give my mother her meds and walk out without even asking her how she felt, or not fixing her pillow / rotating her on her sides when she no longer was able to speak. These concerns were addressed management took action which was appreciated. The doctors and NP were amazing! Thankfully I was able to be with her EVERYDAY to make sure all of her needs were being met. HOWEVER, we also had JHC as her hospice team that came in and were incredible!! I would recommend this facility as it was the best that I personally saw when I was touring different ones. Just make sure you always advocate for your loved ones regardless of the facility. Thank you to the staff who truly cared about my mother, made her smile during a very difficult time, and put the energy into making sure she was comfortable physically and mentally.

I recently spent two weeks in rehabilitation. The nurses were fantastic! I had one aide most of the time named Sharika. She was such a blessing! She took such good care of me. Without her I would have been miserable I would like to thank all of the staff at Holden Rehab for making my stay a pleasant experience. Thank you to the physical therapy staff for helping me get strong enough to go home❤️

I can honestly say that I highly recommend Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. I have been going here for well over 6 years! First for my Mom who passed in 2018; she went in for rehabilitation after breaking her leg in a fall and after she was discharged home decided she didn't want to live alone anymore. She called me up and asked me if I could get her back in. She loved it there! She loved the staff and all the activities.
When it came time to make a decision for my Aunt, who was 97 years young, I decided to once again choose Holden. The facility is always clean, the staff always welcoming. I moved my Aunt from RI away from her friends and her own house. The care they took in making sure she adjusted was amazing! She has so many friends now and every week when I visit and we make our "rounds" there are so many residents and staff who joke and are just happy to see her.
Making a decision where to place a parent or Loved one can be very difficult, but I never worry about my Aunt and know she is extremely well cared for.

My grandmother was sent here to rehab after a fall resulting in fracture and was there several weeks January-February 2023. Our family was concerned based on some of the negative reviews we read, but we had a wonderful experience at Holden Rehab. The facilities were clean and did not smell. She had a private room. When my grandmother needed assistance in the restroom I was able to get a CNA to help her right away. My grandmother said the staff treated her well. The nurses were responsive to any concerns I had and were readily available. They did an excellent job keeping her social- every time I visited I found her at a table with other residents, having a coffee, and socializing. The social activities schedule was impressive: they had activities scheduled all day long and had weekly manicures and did her nails.

I must say i am very impressed with how the staff and administration have been in caring for my mom. The team at Holden rehab have been amazing, they have been very attentive to my mother and very open and honest with my family and I. the team has been available to discuss the care my mother is receiving, the CNAS have been extremely kind and accommodating. i am in the community every day and feel welcomed by the staff they have greeted me daily and advise me of how my mother is doing I would highly recommend this facility . My experience has been nothing but great from prior to my moms admission through the whole process of her admission to her current care . I must thank all those involved Nicole, Kim, Sue, Harry, Cynthia, Shelia, Megan, and Niesha, for their compassion and dedication.

As of right now my mom is there. We thought it would be a good place because it would be easy for my father to get to to see her. When she felt sick and had to use the restroom they said she needed to hurry up because they were too busy to wait for her. We sent brand new pjs that they took to wash and could not find them. When I asked for laundry to come and bring me to find them, no one showed up. I then asked the nurse and she just laughed at me. I said it won’t be so funny when you are writing a check for me. I later asked if they gave my mom a medication that she takes every day for her heart and they just brushed me off. I can’t wait to get my mom out of there.

I have been a patient at Holden Rehab. since the end of June and I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to all of those who have helped in my progress and rehabilitation.
You are most fortunate to have the service of very dedicated professionals. The nurse I dealt with mostly was Josephine. She was always kind, caring and available. Her pleasant manner was indeed an enjoyable gift.
The therapists I worked with were also great assets to your organization. I enjoyed working with Sue Barakian, Joyce, Deb and Elong. Vinnie and the CNT as well as Donald were most helpful. All of the activities were enjoyable. I hope to continue services through visiting nurses.

This place is THE WORST place to send your family member! Negligence doesn’t even begin to describe! Do not send your loved ones here! Bring them home and find a PCA and do physical therapy at home. Staff is negligent. It doesn’t even deserve the one star that I had to put just to write this review!!
