We can not seem to get much information about our mother, who was sent to this facility from UAB on 4/9. They shipped her over just days after she almost bled to death while performing a simple procedure to remove a halo from her right leg/ankle. She needed 12 pints of blood because Dr. Johnson nicked an artery while putting a chest tube in. She's had a tracheotomy tube in since then also! I would like to believe that her trachea has healed by now! I've requested a summary of admission for my mother and for a physician to just call me, but I'm still waiting! Prior to her accident , I was her primary caregiver for her appointments and cancer treatments. The pandemic has been tough for everyone, but my mother especially! Also, this company is not Brookwood Hospital. They're just renting space there!
