Disorganized

Update: I went back today for what should have been a 15 minute vaccine appointment. Not only did the doctor fail to put in the correct order, but they booked me for the wrong type of appointment (which I fully expect to get charged for) and I ended up waiting an hour. Still disorganized. Staff are very polite, but that doesn't help when no one has their shit together.

I got misdiagnosed THREE TIMES before I finally received the correct medication, and even then the pharmacy tried to cheat me out of it.

I had this cough at the back of my throat that kept me from going to sleep at times. I came to the health center dying and they said it was post nasal drip, and that I could treat it with over the counter medications. I got a cough suppressant but the cough came back after I ran out of it. Second time was a similar story, and didn't get cough suppressants this time.

Third time they falsely diagnosed me with asthma and gave me an unnecessary x ray scan. I spent $100 worth of inhalers I didn't even need. This helped my cough somewhat as I could finally sleep at night, but I was still constantly coughing stuff out.

My grandma said I probably had a bacterial infection, and to my surprise, she was right. I came in a fourth time telling the doctor I probably had an infection, and they prescribed me antibiotics. I came to the pharmacy next door to pick it up and they rang up the over the counter mucinex clone they had instead. I asked why they rang it up and they said the antibiotics were too expensive. I refused, telling them to give me the antibiotics and that I've already used the over the counter medications. It was 17 cents, I kid you not. I'd like to think this was an honest mistake, not taking into account my insurance, but that's very hard to believe.

I took the antibiotics and got better within 5 days. This whole ordeal forced me to live with a nasty cough for 3 months and spend hundreds of dollars worth of useless doctors appointments and prescriptions for nothing. I'd like to think that the doctors here are inexperienced but the more likely answer is that the people here will do anything for money, even if it means misdiagnosing and misleading people. I'm never coming back.

My freshman son tried to get help - experiencing chills and neck pain. They turned him away without bothering to do anything like take his temperature, pulse, BP or listen to his chest. So we had to pick him up and take him to an urgent care clinic - you know, someplace that actually seems to care enough to provide service. His temperature was 103.5
Update: I've improved my score to 3 stars based on a much better experience a couple days later.

Had an appointment today with Delmis P. The best nurse I have ever had. He genuinely went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and knew exactly what was going on. Went in extremely anxious, came out feeling happy and having received the care I needed. Thank you Delmis!

I’ve been coming here since I was a student at UW. The care I experience is always kind, respectful and supportive. I always leave feeling as though every concern is fully covered and thoroughly investigated

It’s very 50-50 when you call and make an appointment or have any questions of the sort. You either get a chill nice worker on the other end or a completely rude and disrespectful impatient one. In the most respectful is in management over hiring or training— needs to train these people to have better customer service skills

Went there several times. Very helpful and courteous staff. May have to wait too much if you go without an appointment.

All the doctors I've seen here have been very kind & knowledgeable, spend a good amount of time with you, and they have been able to get me in for same day appointments for acute problems.

And the pharmacy here is amazing. So glad to have an alternative to the retail pharmacies, and still have access to a online refill system through MyChart.
