Never got to talk to my therapist she canceled twice and once on the day of my appointment. When they made another appointment. She called and canceled again said she will be taking a leave of absence My mental stage was worst needed help . I called back to set another appointment but was told I owe 200 because I missed a appointment I didn't even remember making it due to my mental illness she canceled so many times . Really needed to talked to someone . Wish they cared more about people with mental problems then money . Can't afford to pay the bill so I have to deal with it alone . They only care when it's to late .

FRONT STAFF CREATES TERRIBLE ENVIRONMENT FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP.

I'm disappointed in the front house management and staff of this office. This is very upsetting because I liked my nurse and my therapist Dalton has helped me more than anyone has ever within a short time.
Sadly, the staff you have to deal with when you first arrive or call are not worth coming here. I have had multiple issues within the few months of going. They are dismissive and have been rude.

I came here because I am having tough problems, not to be met with more. It had been hard for me to reach out, to ask for help and come in. I wanted to make steps forward but IBH Muscle Shoals has reminded me why I do not.

This place either has no idea how to deal with people with mental health issues or they do not care. They charge you for being minutes late but you might wait for your appointment for 30-60 minutes. I actually felt like I was “crazy” the more I had to deal with the front staff. As I started to mentally heal, I realized that the front staff was gaslighting people. It’s actually very bizarre.

Save yourself the trouble, and find somewhere else to heal. I hope the nurses and therapists that do the good work there find a better place to share their gifts and knowledge. The front staff is ruining it for you as well as stunting the growth of many that walk through their doors.

My daughter was there on time for her appointment, but was told she was booked with a wrong provider. They rebooked her but failed to send any notifications to me or her. They keep sending me the bill for $50 no show which we absolutely should not have to pay. They do not honor patient's time
It was the office who made the error. If they want us to be accountable for showing up on time, they should know to notify the patient and her family thru established communication methods to ensure the schedule changes are provided knowing that their patients have issues in some way.

This practice lied to us about taking our insurance, and consistently charged us late fees for appointment times we were on time for (standing in line waiting for the office staff counts as not on time). The office manager openly mocks patients and lies about calling patients back and forwarding them to billing.

The worst was when after a series of cancellations due to my physical health, they told me they’d need to talk to my counselor to see if she would continue working with me. I accepted this consequence, but I kept calling back to see if they had made a decision, never got any callbacks. When I finally got a hold of them, my counselor had left, and IBH immediately dropped me as a patient. It was clear they had waited until I had no advocate to drop me. I relied on them for medication management, too, and was not allowed to continue working with the doctor to get my meds. The ensuing months were hell, I had a seriously dangerous reaction to being pulled off lamictal with no notice.

I loved my counselor, Julie, and Drs. Victoria and Chou changed my life with their support. I wish the office staff was better trained in how to do their jobs with a vulnerable population.

UPDATE: I have just been billed for services I never received a bill for, OVER TWO YEARS LATER. One of these was a no-show fee, despite calling 24 hours in advance and never getting a call back to confirm. This practice is beyond ridiculous.

Love going here! This place is so kind and the environment is so welcoming. I have the best therapist who I love going to see, she always makes me feel comfortable and helps me through everything. Brooke is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough!! She gives me things to do outside of sessions to practice and work on and it has helped me tremendously. If you’re looking for someone to talk to I highly recommend Brooke!!

I am currently taking chemotherapy for Stage IV cancer. Due to the confusion and memory problems that are associated with treatment, I forgot an appointment for my son. I called to reschedule and explained to the workers that the issue was medically related. They still tried to charge me the 50 dollar fee. I explained that I would not pay it because of my medical issue and that I would find another provider for psychiatric services. This business cares more about money than they do helping people.

I started coming to IBH a few months ago. The staff is so nice, always greeting people with a smile. The psychiatrist I see listens to what you have to say and works with you to find what works best for you. The counselor is amazing. So friendly. I also feel heard by her. She listens and doesn't make you feel 'rushed' or blown off. I love IBH and definitely recommend coming here!

Professional staff is very good: knowledgeable, courteous, willing to listen & offer realistic suggestions to solve issues.
Front desk staff, however, is horrible: they do NOT answer phone, letting it go to voice mail most of the time. Calls may or may not be returned within 58 hours; they need to be reminded that incoming calls are important since patients may need to make, reschedule or cancel appointments They are courteous in person, but only moderately helpful.
