I have been going to Ivy since February 2022, for 6 months/year or more, off and on. (Off and on is an insurance thing, not an Ivy thing.) Bc 1 thing Ivy does better than any other PT/OT group I have ever been to is acknowledge chronic ailments and long-term necessity for physical therapy. That breadth of knowledge and their willingness to share it with patients in a way that they can understand it is what makes them this this specific location, run so well. An equally extraordinary feature at Pencader Plaza IvyRehab is that women can get the care they need because they are listened to and respected. Also, their handling of paperwork, at least for me, has been as pretty smooth if you add in all the insurance regulations, but Jamie makes it simply. You do have to be a part of the process bc that is the newest way insurance has designed it.
Medical Part: I'm a rather unique human in that I have enough medical conditions to need PT for life, and not to mention car accidents, falls, and injuries. Dalton (director) has so much knowledge and exposure to various conditions and injuries that he has continuously built successful and extensive treatment plans that strengthen or maintain my bodies abilities to function with maximum independence.
Being a patient at Ivy also makes collaborative treatment solutions possible when something in a plan
doesn't seem to be working as well as it should. Ivy shares PTs, and sometimes you will meet a "visiting PT" that is there from another DE Ivy that can contribute another perspective on treatment if you only ask.
Great place for physical therapy!

I went to Ivy Rehab after being diagnosed with some very painful bursitis in my left hip. I could barely manage to walk; let alone hike my normal several miles per day minimum, with my dogs.

Juliana got me back on my way within a month; and taught me exercises to take with me on my travels in the mountains.
My photos are taken from high elevations and I probably would not have been able to take those important photos if it hadn’t been for Ivy.

Lucky me for finding them…not a moment too soon!

Ivy is a great no nonsence rehab. Ive never been seriously injured or had any surgerys. This place got me on the schedule next day after being cleared for therapy after an 80% quad tendon rupture repair. They followed protocal and got my knee flection from about 20°-123° before my insurance visits expired. I was injured had surgery and went through therapy and now back to work within 4 months of initial injury. The contine to be helpful with my rehab. Dalton Julia Jess and the staff were great to work with and got me where I needed to be so I could get back to work for my busy months. Highly recommended thanks Ivy

Being fairly new to Delaware, I was unsure of where to begin to search for a therapist that wouid fit my needs. Once I went to Ivy; I was pleasantly surprised. Most mainstream or more popular therapy groups in Delaware usually pack the people in with little to no privacy; each therapist is managing 5-6 people at a time so they can bill insurance more per hour; and it’s a “warehouse” type circuit with most of the places. Ivy rehab does have some open areas, but they customize and individualize each patient in such a way that you don’t feel like a “file” or “chart”—rather a real person who they really want to help get better. Every single one of the staff are pleasant, kind, and go above and beyond to take care of everyone. They operate as a team and treat each other like a family. I’m pretty particular and understand that it’s still a business. But if you want a real treatment plan and real people to help you for physical therapy—make sure you go see them, you will not be disappointed.

Ivy Rehab in the Pencader Plaza in Newark DE. will have you back in action in no time. Dalton Schiller and his staff have what it takes to get you back to BETTER than normal. They are fully equipped to take care of all your physical therapy needs with equipment and the knowledge it takes to make your rehabilitation complete. Jamie can create a schedule to accommodate your busy life style. I’ve been with them through two knee replacements, rotator cuff surgery and a bad case of sciatica.
